The main viewpoint near the visitor center makes it pretty crowded. I went for sunrise and there were a good number of people there. It's an excellent view and easily accessible so I'm giving it 5 stars, but here are better views with fewer people the farther west you go on the South Rim Trail. Even if you have few minutes to visit Grand Canyon, visit Mather Point, it is simply stunning. With so many different rock formations and colors, it will leave you speechless. There is also bike rentals, an ice cream shop, visitor center etc. Whole area is very well maintained and...

If you only see one thing in the Grand Canyon, then Mather Point is it! This point provides a very awesome view of the canyon. But just walk along the rim trail and you will be able to get a great picture...
