Did a family trip of 4. Stayed in a room with two bunk beds with queen bottom bunks and twin top bunks.
For what we paid for the rooms, the stay was fine. The sockets were loose, the shower was too sensitive to hot water adjustments, the mattresses were pretty uncomfortable... But the room was a great deal.
We got the breakfast package, where you get a free breakfast at the lodge dining hall. That was well worth it, the dining hall breakfast is great. I wouldn't recommend the dining hall for lunch or dinner though, it's bad overpriced, and the tavern is cheaper and better.
Service wise, the staff were all amazingly polite, and determinedly helpful in every single interaction I had with them.
And in terms of location, like... It's the Grand canyon. If you need me to tell you that it's lovely, idk what to say. Look up pictures....

I would strongly suggests if you can and prefer driving back after seeing sunset or stargazing, book hotel outside the park. There are nice hotels with breakfast and 24 hrs coffee. There are fast food restaurants too outside. At yavapai lodge, rooms and beds are ok. Ac vents had lot of visible dirt. Wall and floor are not that great, i used to hear ppl walking and talking from the room above. Plenty of parking outside of the room. You have to carry things thru stairs. No microwave but There is...
