I do not frequently write reviews, but in this instance I would like to warn other individuals before giving this establishment your money. I hate to complain because I realize that in every business there will be an "off day" however, even after two weeks, my nails are still unpaintable and sore so I still feel compelled to write a warning for others looking to visit here.
A few weeks ago I went into the salon (with two other girls) to get a gel manicure and a polish change on my toes. The wait was unnecessarily long and people who had arrived after us were taken in before us. My polish change on my toes was horrendous. I had paint on my skin and spots missing on nearly every toe. The worst aspect of my experience was the removal of my gel from my nails. The nail tech wrapped my fingernails with the foil to remove the nails but only left the foils on for approximately 5 min. She then tried to buff the nails off although the foils were not left on long enough to enable the gel to lift from my nails. She cracked and ripped all ten of my finger nails off and left them short and broken. My nails were throbbing for weeks because she used the buffing tool on my nails and made them incredibly thin. I told her three times she was hurting/burning me and only when i pulled my hand away did she slow down. I did not end up getting my nails repainted because they were so sore. Therefore, I was not able to get my nails done for the special occasion I was headed to afterwards. On top of this experience, I was charged $14 for the removal/polish change. I realized later that I was overcharged. This was the worst experience I have ever had in any beauty salon. I would not recommend giving this...
Read moreI went here on a recomandation and was extremly dissapointed. I had to get them fixed by another nail salon.
I made an appointment at 11:15am and was not taken until 11:45-11:50am. Even when a sylist was free and they sat me in her chair, she refused to come over to help me. (Remember I had an appointment)
A man assited me instead and did the shape of my nails. Later when I went to another salon they, and I quote, said, "You poor baby" None of the shapes were even and squared out. They were thick, "Lumpy," and unevenly wide. To someone who knows nothing about nails they weren't extremly bad, but with close examantion they were.
After the man shaped and did the nails, I was sent to someone else for the design. I did want a more intense design. When I asked if they could do it, they said yes, which was clearly not true. The lady who helped me had a client coming in in 5 minutes, so she rushed me. The nails were sloppy, nothing like I wanted, and not clean. When I asked to add, or change something she seemed unhappy and reminded me her client was coming and eventually was there. (Remind you, I had an appointment first. I was not a walk in)
I am just extemely dissapointed that the appointment means nothing and repeated customers are treated extremely different then others. The other shop in Newark that I went to actually gave me a discount because of how bad they were even though they didn't do it themselves and it was my...
Read moreFirst let me say my pedi and mani was completely different. Loved my mani. they did really cute nails. no gaps and took the time on my nails. my pedi was a different story. She made me bleed she cut so much of my cuticles away. the massage was amazing, but if not for the bleeding big toe, it would have been great. then came the check out. Please take my money, or not. it took them several minutes to take my money to pay. I paid with a credit card, and tipped in cash. I only had 20's so i needed it broken. when she gave me change fro my 20 bill I was given a 5 and 10 ones. when i noted the difference she said I miss counted. I did tip the nail lady. she did great. took her time and did what i wanted. I did not tip the pedi lady. I would return here for my nail;s anytime but never...
