Always loved Red Robin. Good food, good prices. Creative with the menu. Love the sauces, I need sauce with everything, so I'm always appreciative when a place has great sauces. Bottomless fries, the real MVP's! Tried a good amount of what they offer, always liked it. Friendly staff.
Read moreOkay so my fiance and I decided to go to dinner for my 21st birthday, ended up here because Applebees wait was too long. Walked in, was greeted and seated. Our waitress came up and asked for our drink order, being my 21st I ordered a beer and so did my fiance. She said okay and walked away, 2 seconds later she came back asking for my ID to show to her manager since it wasn't turned sideways (which isn't necessary in delaware btw) and I was more than okay with that. After about 10 minutes of sitting at an empty table she finally comes back and says "I can't serve you, everyone I showed it to said it was flimsy". I didn't get what she meant since my ID is actually my ID and asked her what she meant by flimsy and she said her manager denied it. So we got up to walk out (not eating somewhere I can't somewhat enjoy my 21st) and on the way out I seen a women who was in a different shirt than the wait staff and I asked her why my ID couldn't be accepted. Well come to find out the waitress who (was very inexperienced in my opinion) told me I couldn't be served was actually told the opposite. It was perfectly fine by the manager. The manager handled it, we were told if we decided to eat there the meal would be free besides our drinks. We agreed to eat there no problem but asked for a different waitress . The second waitress did amazing, she earned her 20% tip. And the manager redeemed that bitter waitress turning us away. Not to mention the food was great. I have a 10 month old son and don't get to really enjoy myself and that's all I wanted tonight especially since we went through the trouble of getting a babysitter. After a rough start it...
So I looked at an ad in the drink menu that advertised a drink containing Redds Apple Ale, raspberry syrup, and lemonade served in a collectable baseball can. The ad described the can was limited edition and read "take one home today." The drink was about $6.29 (for just some beer mixed with juice mind you) and the ad said nothing about paying $5 extra to take the can home. So I rinsed the can when I was finished and let my son play with it. Then, my server tells me that I wasn't allowed to take the cup home without paying an extra $5. I pleaded with the manager saying that I purchased the small can of beer under the impression that I could take it home and I felt like I was cheated because the drink want nearly worth $6.29 (I could have bought a margarita for that price). He wouldn't budge so I had to take the empty can away for my poor boy and I sat and waited for my bill and dessert with a crying toddler next to me.
I also ordered Cod and chips and the cod had NO FLAVOR.
Also when I went to pay, I paid with cash and card with instructions to pay cash first, then card. My card was declined because one of the $20 bills i gave the sever (HIS NAME IS !!!!!ALBERT!!!!!) magically disappeared. So, I had to ask my mom to help pay for dinner. How embarrassing ;'(
The shady thing is that he didn't even notice my card was declined he just have us the receipt and said "have a nice day." He must have been flustered about something like making $20 disappear cuz he never came back I had to go find him and tell him that the order wasn't fully paid...
