Planet Fitness — Attraction in Palm Springs

From the moment we walked in, customer service was definitely on vacation. The people working were eating McDonald's at the front , the African young woman working was so high her eyes were squinty, red, and common sense was nowhere to be found. The hydro beds didn't work properly. The other 2 staff members, after eating their McDonald's went around the tan area and turned all the bright lights on, talking loud, there went relaxation time in the massage chair... and being a black card members..traveling from another state, we were charged $1 for winkie eye wear...and you had to use a CC. No cash accepted, and at every other PF we have never be charged, for eye wear. The staff was too busy consorting with others that they couldn't mop up the water on the floor...I should have read the reviews before going...... I am still shaking my head and we left over an hour ago...not coming back here again .... I'm writing this so other members can be aware, Thank God this is not my home gym, I would cancel...

If you plan on coming here, make sure it’s before 5PM otherwise it gets extremely busy. I love the new equipment at this gym, however it would be nice if the gym members cleaned up after themselves. It’s simple gym etiquette: Wipe down your machines, and put your weights back. There’s also a lot of kids that come here that dont look a day over 15… most of them don’t know what they’re doing or wear inappropriate shoes (I saw someone wearing crocs today) but I guess that’s on them. I get it, PF prides themselves on being a, “Judgement Free” zone but if management sees someone wearing crocs or flip flops to the gym, maybe say something before they get hurt?

Edited to ad: I’m 99% sure the mangers of this specific location are paying people to give this place five stars every day. There’s no way in hell this gym deserves 5 stars. Especially with this little high school thing PF has got going on all summer. Paying members can’t even use the machines because they’re all taken by hoards of 16...

Here I am once again giving this specific club a single star, they allow individuals to hold multiple machines, they won't even go over and talk to the individuals, and people are intimidated in the gym by the guys that are doing this. My wife felt pushed away from using a machine that no one had been using. It makes for a very uncomfortable situation. This location is not what Planet Fitness should be about.

As of recently I'm finding that the service has shot way down. EXAMPLE: Today I just checked in and asked if the tanning was available. The young man at the counter said it was. I asked if I had time to go to the bathroom real quick and come right back up. He said absolutely. When I came back up he had let someone else jump ahead of me in just a matter of 2 minutes. That alone lets me know that you can be unsure of their word and what they tell you to be accurate. Amongst other things have happened over...
