I have to start off by saying I really do hate to complain and have never left a bad review but I am very upset right now.
For the past years, I have down my own gel pedicure to in order to save money. In March, I was in a bit of a rush before a cycling class and decided to get my nails down here at Platinum and besides me rushing I had a great experience and wanted to come back.
I decided to get my birthday pedicure here yesterday with my daughter. We scheduled an appointment an hour before closing. Which i believe was a mistake. Our pedicures didnt even last 40 mins and just felt rushed. Didnt even get asked what type of pedicure we wanted. While the technician was nice, I didnt notice the job she had done until i was home.
In the first two pictures, you can see the excess of polish that was just left there. When doing gel, you have to be very careful in wiping off the excess because once it goes under the light, its hard to remove. As you can see, this is horrible. I dont even leave my toenails like this painting them with my left hand.
I went back about an hour ago to get it “fixed”. The same technician was assigned to me. She literally just brought the drill and drilled off the excess on my skin and barely even filed on top and just painted over it. It basically looks the same and just horrible. On one foot, she cut me with the drill of how hard she was drilling close and on my skin.
This is so unacceptable. I came out of there probably worse. I should have just gone elsewhere to get it fixed. But now my birthday toenails look busted and in pain due to the cut. I honestly felt like they were really going to fix it but they really don’t care.
Should have requested a refund but I am concious that times are tough. Spending $56 on an atrocious pedicure and wasting my time twice is definitely not making me come back.
Wish the management would have followed up and amended...
Read moreI took my mother in for a manicure that included a neck wrap and massage while i got my gel mani (that began to peel 3 days later which I’ve never experienced anywhere else before). My mothers left shoulder was burned from the neck wrap, its been a couple of weeks and i am taking her to a plastic surgeon to take care of the now wounds she has. The girls were nice ( that isn’t my complaint) but there is NO reason for that salon to keep a neck wrap that hot to cause any burn much less a 2nd degree burn. I am sharing this not only for others to be careful when having this done but also because i spoke to the manager to let him know 2 days ago to let him know the situation and the progress and he said “ok i will let them know Sorry about that” and that was the end. I won’t insert photos because they are too graphic, just know there were huge blisters the size of a medium size fig, then raw and bleeding and peeling and now a wound that requires debridement and oral meds. I wish i could go back in time and never have gone there but all i wanted was my mother to feel some relaxation instead she can’t move that should much. As for my services, the gel manicure began to lift and peel 4 days later (i don’t live close by) i went to a different salon to redo my nail and they didn’t know what was used because they couldn’t remove all of the polish. I’m currently wearing the polish from here under the new manicure because removal of the polish used at this salon has left my nails destroyed. I’m disappointed and concerned. Not only a waste of my money but it has affected my...
Read morePlease go somewhere else, i went in to get a maini (dip set) and a pedi (regular). I was happy for a moment to have gotten my nails done. I went back the next day because of how unhappy i was with afew of my nails. I was told they couldn't do much but file some of it. I tried to stick it out and try them again so i made another appointment. Less than a week later my finger tips and nails still felt uncomfortable and weird. I eneded up going to Paint Nail Bar in Leesburg to fix them and they did a wonderful job! Absolutely took their time to file and fix my nails. Even fixed my cuticle, that the other spa just buzzed off with a drill, the nail teach from Platinum Nail Spa buzzed into them too deep on some parts. Once i got them finished. I went back to Platinum Nail salon to show the damages of my skin due to the nail tech gluing my skin and nail together. I was laughed at by the female owner and told by her i should've kept my nails on so they could fix them...yet when i came back within the 3day policy there was nothing they could do? Just avoid this place. The only person who seemed to care was the male owner and even when he tried to give me a small refund (just above 30% of my whole nail service). I learned my lesson, never come here. Even if you wanna give them a second chance. They will not be worth it unless you DEMAND your nails be done a certain way. I unfortunately cannot post the photo of my...
