I had a very unfortunate experience at this hair salon that I cannot recommend to anyone. The salon not only used poor quality products, but they also mishandled them, resulting in severe damage to my hair and even my scalp. The stylist's lack of expertise and care led to my hair being burned, leaving me with a painful and uncomfortable experience. The management and supervisors are also the way to careless that not even honoring you a refund due to their actions.I strongly advise against visiting this salon if you value the health and well-being of your hair.
Reply Update: While I appreciate your apology, I must express my disappointment with the lack of responsibility and accountability demonstrated in your message. You claim that during the initial conversation, there was no mention of hair damage or dissatisfaction with the service. However, I find this assertion to be misleading and dismissive of my concerns. I clearly communicated that I experienced a reaction after my appointment, which is a significant issue that should not be taken lightly.
Furthermore, your statement that my service in 2021 was a balayage bleach service with no application to my scalp is inaccurate. I specifically recall the stylist applying the product to my scalp during the appointment, however your hair stylist added a toner at the end on my whole hair from roots to bottom and left me for an hour to CELEBRATE YOUR ASSISTANT MANAGER'S BIRTHDAY on that day!!!!! I was feeling that my whole chest is burning at a time.It is concerning that you are attempting to downplay the severity of the situation by providing false information.
While I understand that both my doctor and your team examined the product ingredients and found no proof of a connection but the email that I received from your insurance company approved it that this issue was based on bad product that your salon uses. As a reputable salon, it is your responsibility to ensure the safety and satisfaction of your clients, even if the cause of the reaction cannot be definitively determined.
Regarding your refund policy, I find it disheartening that you are hiding behind technicalities rather than addressing the core issue at hand. The fact remains that I experienced a negative outcome as a result of my visit to your salon, and it is only fair that I am compensated for the dissatisfaction and potential damage caused. Your unwillingness to consider a refund or any form of compensation demonstrates a lack of customer care and a disregard for the well-being of your clients. I have continuously requested that your salon cover the medical bills associated with the incident, as I believe it is a reasonable expectation given the circumstances. It is disappointing to see that you continue to deny any responsibility and refuse to take appropriate action. Your claim of being "innocent in the matter" is both unfounded and dismissive of the negative experience I endured. I urge you to reconsider your stance and take this matter seriously. As a dissatisfied customer, I have every right to voice my concerns and expect a resolution that addresses the issues I have raised. I hope that you will demonstrate a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction and work towards finding a fair and...
Read moreSarah is AMAZING AND ALWAYS GIVES ME OVER THE TOP ROYAL TREATMENT!!! HER COLOR TECHNIQUES AND SHADING ARE PURELY NOTHING SHORT OF BEAUTIFUL! She has an instinct for complimenting your natural skin tones with your desired shade of hair the leaves you in complete disbelief that your new do is from the salon's talented lady! The complete visit was SUPER! GREAT handoff from reception to Sarah, to shampoo technician back to Sarah then escorted every time I moved somewhere in the salon. Never had to wait, Chrissy was top notch regarding shampoo technician! She was pleasant , personable and extremely hard working. Not everyone had the same polished techniques for client relationship! Other stylists did not follow the example of a successful handoff and consideration for client relationship that Sarah and Chrissy exemplifies. They're clients waited with product on their hair while they themselves had to search the salon for their stylists . All too often I observed that unfortunate mishap and I felt empathetic to that client! Those same stylists blatantly showed to be in rushes, did the not escort their clients ...they just pointed the way! Same people again spike to the shampoo technicians with ugly abrasive manner and tone that I voiced up and suggested that they need to speak to the shampoo technicians with respect, clear and concise instructions and with dignity & consideration ! Maybe if they followed the More successful stylists examples ,to include compensation to the shampoo technicians and change their attitudes towards their coworkers and consideration regarding their due respect, they're appointment booking would be productive and steady too! Oh and maybe their clients that waited with product on their hair while looking for them would have the same exact AMAZINGLY OVER THE TOP ROYAL TREATMENT the way I do! I know they deserve that treatment too! BTW: Everyone should proudly wear and toss their hair around in the way God intended ... As your Crown and Glory! So, drop who you're going to, or comfortable with and schedule with Sarah Wiese...I promise you'll never look back at mediocre service &...
Read moreYesterday was my fourth visit to Salon Daniel this year; it was just as delightful as my first visit back in February. I highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a nice, relaxed salon with a superb stylist like Daniel Bechara.
Although I’ve lived in the neighborhood for many years, I just decided at the beginning of 2016 to switch from a noisy, crazy salon in Rockville that I’d gone to forever, and instead patronize a McLean business that’s existed for 25 years. Also, I must confess, I’d noticed a young woman in the Whole Foods parking lot last summer with an absolutely awesome hairstyle and I asked her who did it. She gleefully told me it was Daniel.
Salon Daniel is a lovely place – not at all wild or extreme, but clean, cozy, and comfy. There’s some background music in the salon but no loud pounding noise to wrack your nerves, and no scary-looking stylists jiving with each other in wide-open, fully visible work stations. It’s an adult place with just the right amount of privacy for a very personal deed – my hair cut! Also, the young ladies at the front desk are very friendly, gracious, and helpful – never rude or rushed as in many other salons.
But best of all is Daniel himself -- a true professional with infinite expertise and exquisite manners. He has the most pleasant temperament of any hairstylist I’ve ever met! And he listens. On my first three visits I asked for a trim only of two or three inches from the end of my long, ultra-straight hair. That’s exactly what he did. No pressure or persuasion to do anything more. I really appreciated that. Yesterday he did an interesting, sort of casual, up-do for me and explained the steps as he worked. Lots of fun!
Later this year on December 14th I have an appointment with Daniel to do a major cut and drastic new hairstyle for me – a huge change that I desperately need but also fear. Anyway, it’s the date of a full moon which supposedly is the very best time to get a haircut. Actually, though, I think everyday must be a full moon at...
