In my opinion the majority of the county staff or representatives that work for the government the county as well as the state with ppl with disabilities and vets needs to lose their licenses for eternity or unless otherwise proven to me that they've been certified under so and so subject sub categories because in my opinion they absolutely suck as well as the va court houses and every type of gov representative possible because they can't even abide by standards never have I have been violated in every way possibly amaginable I can not tolerate the disrespect from the county as well as the state including the police as it says protect and to serve I've never ever felt safe since being brought in va and been violated in every way possible since being in va or even the county of Fairfax they suck can't even do their jobs properly at all and ect. I'm very disappointed in the state of va. And they have no jurisdiction of the state of wv and still some how was aloud to bring me into va into my foster family. I'm very disappointed in the states actions and there ethics of all types. And they violated several constitutional rights one of them is the first amendment as well as the fourteenth amendment and several others they are in several major violations daily. I'm very disappointed if I could give a million negative star review I would tbchwu. I only have had very few ppl I know of who I think deserve to either be in charge or needs a major raise as well as pay grade as I'm very disappointed in everyone who works for Fairfax county gov as well as who keeps va running they in my opinion should not be number one for any thing after all they have done to me as well as countless other I rather be the next state over as they treat ppl better. I'm very disappointed. If I could give a negative 1000 star review I would as I'm very upset with the state of va as we'll as the county after all they have done to me. I feel violated in many countless ways. In my opinion they need a whole rehall done including training. They have bad ethics in...
Read moreBureaucracy run amuk. When a County has three very large buildings and offices upon offices and seemingly hundreds and hundreds of employees and offices all with similar sounding names and titles, one knows they are in for a long day of bureaucratic you-know-what. Within a span of 30 minutes I had visited six offices just to gain enough information to apply for a permit. The back-up of people waiting to be seen was innumerable. A Manager was down giving platitudes to those waiting in line. It seems the employees and offices are complete Silos. Case in point, in trying to obtain elevation information from an employee with a sophisticated GIS system, I had to go to yet another office for that information, when I know the employee, with a few additional key strokes, could have provided it. After an hour and visits to seven offices (between two different buildings) I gave up. Especially when I understood the ridiculous process for obtaining the permit and completing the project and the unbelievably ridiculous cost, over $16,000, because my property is in a Flood Zone and Resource Protected (or Management, depending on who you talk to) Area. Fairfax County has governmental bureaucracy down to an art. Exceedingly frustrating and excessive and inordinately and...
Read moreTDLR: Fairfax County hates old cars, since they can't get much tax revenue from them.
I had my 2021 car tax sent to collection after getting a bill once every 3 months and getting an over-payment check back a month later for the last 4 years. I couldn't figure out what was going on, so I called and even visited them multiple times for them to tell me I didn't have any tax bill on my account. I have 3 cars, a 2006, 2016, and 2019. Only the 2006 had an issue with taxes, and this isn't the first time. In 2018 I had a similar issue with my 2003, where it was magically solved when it broke down and I got a replacement, 2019. It's interesting that this only happens to my lowest value cars, since the car tax on the 2006 was only about $50, while the other 2 cars are still in the $200-400s, and the old 2003 before being junked was hovering...
