If I could give them less than one star, I would.
This location is very, very difficult to work with. When you call their local phone number, they do not answer their phone. Rather, they let it ring until you get disconnected. I tried to call them for over an hour and no one answered. We have tried calling while in the lobby to see what happens and the staff just ignores the phone.
Additionally, twice now, when this facility has received my priority mail packages they have not dispatched them to the recipient immediately. Instead, they label the tracking as "available for pick-up at local post office" but they haven't even notified the recipient that a package exists for them.
When they finally do deliver the packages, my recipient has witnessed them throwing the packages at the door, regardless of fragility, and running down the hallway. They don't knock or ring the door bell or try to contact the recipient in another manner.
The final straw for me was this week. I sent two birthday packages to my recipient. The packages arrived at this post office on Saturday morning. They did not dispatch the 2-day priority packages but instead hung on to them, again, labeling them as available for pick up. Then I checked on Monday evening their local time and the packages still had not been dispatched for delivery. I called the 800 number because I could not get anyone to answer at the local facility and they advised me to schedule a re-delivery which seems ironic to me given they hadn't even attempted to deliver them to begin with. But, I did as they told me to do. I have also filed a complaint with the 800 number but I am not sure if that will make any difference.
Anyway, I checked the tracking numbers this morning and one package says it was delivered last night, while I was on the phone with the 800 number and that it was left with an individual but it wasn't delivered to my recipient. The second package says that they are holding it at this facility because the business was closed. The problem is that the address is a residence and they claim that they attempted to deliver it almost two hours after they claim they delivered the first package to an individual. Something is really messed up here. There is an issue with the people who work at this facility and/or with management or both.
I am going to stop using the Postal Service and instead go with UPS or FedEx because at least I know the packages with be handled with care, delivered as scheduled and to the correct location, and I will be able to contact customer service when...
Read moreIt’s no surprise that this post office location has one of the lowest ratings in all of Miami. Many businesses rely on this branch to send large quantities of packages, yet recent changes have made the process unnecessarily difficult.
Previously, customers could use wheeled baskets to transport packages from their vehicles to the mailing area. However, those have now been removed, forcing customers to use stationary baskets inside the facility. This change appears to be due to staff reluctance to manage package transfers.
Additionally, for nearly a month, the front door has been broken, requiring customers to carry their packages around to the back entrance and enter through the emergency exit. Despite this ongoing issue, no repairs have been made.
It is disappointing to see the United States Postal Service operating in such poor conditions at this location. I urge management to address these concerns promptly to improve efficiency and customer experience.
Update, few months later :
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent changes and ongoing poor customer service at this post office.
This location is conveniently situated near several businesses where we regularly drop off packages. In the past, there were rolling baskets available, which made it much easier to transport large numbers of parcels. However, those have been removed and replaced with stationary baskets that are not user-friendly. While the newly added signage categorizing package types may help employees, it has significantly increased the workload and inconvenience for customers like myself.
More concerning, however, is the unacceptable behavior of the staff. During my most recent visit, I was treated rudely and disrespectfully by a staff member—a woman who, instead of offering assistance, chose to yell at me for placing too many boxes in a basket that was already overflowing. It was clear that this basket had not been attended to for quite some time, which was not my responsibility. This type of unprofessional conduct is unacceptable in any workplace, especially in a public service setting.
As a frequent customer, I am extremely disappointed. The lack of basic courtesy and support, along with the impractical facility changes, makes this post office increasingly difficult to work with. I urge management to address both the facility design and staff behavior...
Read moreCan I rate this place 0 stars? This is my first review ever! You have to be aware of this place!!!!!
I sent a package over there from Houston and I didnt read the reviews before sending the package and now I regret it.
I paid for 2 days priority mail delivery on Dec 7th, the package supposedly got to Miami on Dec 11th and because they dont deliver during the weekend I had to wait until today Dec 14th. Since the package had to be at the final destination today the latest I called to the office and after 15 attempts they answered me. They said the online status was "Ready for pick up" but that the status was wrong because they were gonna deliver the package during the day. I asked the guy 10 times and he assured me the package was gonna be delivered on the 14th. Around 1 PM they updated the status of the package again and it was never delivered, it kept saying "Ready for pick up" at this location. I tried to call all day and after that they NEVER picked up the phone!!!
Luckily I had a friend spending a couple of days in Miami and I asked him to pick up the package at this location since it said was "Ready for Pick up" When my friend got to the office they said the status online was wrong and the package never got to the office (even if I confirmed with a worker there in the morning), the package was in the warehouse!!!!!!
Since my friend was at the office I was able to talk to the worker, I asked for a recall and they say they dont guarantee the recall and I also had to pay an extra $20!!! Really????? He told me to wait and after that he told my friend he could not talk to me over the phone anymore because he was not allowed to. Really???
At the end I do not have the package, the package was never delivered, they couldnt guarantee a recall.... and now I have to wait until IDK when, that they deliver the package to the final destination (after 5 days delay) and then see if somebody can recover the package and send it back to Houston!!! What a shame!!!! Terrible service!!! Terrible...
