Usually, it's cloudy and windy here; when it's sunny, the beach is very beautiful. However, it seems to be a private beach, either belonging to those beach house owners or the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians. The closest access at Lighthouse Way to climb down and approach the remainder of the Cape Arago Lighthouse (separated by a channel) is fully labeled "No Trespassing," "Private Property." Wish I'd brought my dog... he'd have loved it! I really loved the early morning walks when the sun was coming out and everyone else seemed to be asleep. I just love this...
Read moreTHIS IS NOT PRIVATE PROPERTY. As the other reviews said, all Oregon beaches are PUBLIC. We go here all the time. If you see no trespassing signs ignore them and if anyone gives you trouble just call authorities. We threatened to last time and got the people to take the sign down for awhile. You walk along the road and you should find the way down...
