Lyft Up Lives Thrift Store and Donation Center — Attraction in Corona

I saw a lot of stuff that seemed to be in good shape and interesting to the collector of various stuff. My wife wasn't feeling great and I saw an old makeup case filled with rocks about the size of your fist. Some looked like they had been cut to show an interesting pattern. Some were a bit translucent like some type of mineral, but nothing amazing. Looked like someones collection of interesting rocks and minerals they picked up while out in the desert. I didn't see a price for the whole thing and asked. She said they were priced individually. So I grabbed a random one to see what one rock would be so I could get an idea of where she was at with the pricing and a rock with some stripes on it was $20. I asked if that was the price for the one rock or the whole case full (which is around what I was expecting for the whole case) and I just got a blank stare. I don't know what that means, but it wasn't friendly. I picked a few rocks and offerend $20 for six of them that my wife might like and she thought I was being rude or something, but that is what similar rocks go for that I have seen other places. I still got the mean look and put everything back and started looking at other things. I found a few interesting things and the prices were not inexpensive ($20 for one dish or one old book is out of my budget). I am sure that they were priced for the collector who wants that specific item, but that isn't me. I was kind of worried about getting something and having it not work and trying to deal with any exchange issues or whatever. Other people were there and having a good time and chatting with her and she was great with them, but she really didn't like me by this point for whatever reason soI left. It's too bad, because I was hoping to maybe make a trade of some of the stuff I have in storage or at home, but thought I better not press my luck and just...

I went here just to check it out. The door was partially blocked. Which is a fire hazard, and if I was double the size I wouldn't be able to come in without assistance. The place was dark and was filled almost to the rim with stuff. The cashier/owner was on the phone most of the time I was there.The prices was high and some items were not even marked even though she told me they were multiple times when I had asked for a price. She had to look up prices which I'm assuming was on eBay. It was obvious she pick the prices going by eBay sellers wants rather than actual sold prices. The item I was going to get was supposedly 20% off but I was using a card and she told me I was to be a extra charge to use a card. I look around and saw no signs indicating this, and she didn't tell me until I was getting ready to pay. I had ask her that I thought this was on sale when I found out about the charge. She act like it was normal to change fees without displaying a sign or saying anything before a purchase. I would not suggest going here for a bargain. Plus the shopping center and that store looks a little shady.

4/25/2023 Reading the owners response is proof she lacks good customer service. Most business owners would acknowledge and apologize for the inconvenience but I read anger and outright lie about the sign being displayed when I was there. If it was she would have pointed to it which never happen. Having the entrance door partially block is a fire hazard. Can you imagine having to struggle to get out if there was a fire?The store had little to no lights on when I was there. By the time of my constructive criticism I hope some of her issues has been resolved plus her attitude towards customers...

I felt take advantage of who ever was running this store today at. 2:30. Came here for 80’s vintage clothing for my daughter. She helped us look for stuff, very nice and helpful. She told me that all vintage clothes were 20% off so I bought 1 sweatshirt, 1 belt , 1 scarf that had holes in it ad 1 cabbage patch doll that she said she would sell me for $10.00. She knew I was in a rush and when I checked out it came out to 51.00 including a 2 dollar fee to use ur debit. She awkwardly took off all the price tags while we were checking out while I was attending to my 8 year old. Don’t get me wrong but this lady is a scam artist! Super nice though but doesn’t mean she can’t scam you I even made sure she didn’t charge me more on my bank account. This place is overly priced I would never come back here ever!
