There is a lot to love about Oleander Point. It's got a beautiful view, a picnic table, benches lining a ridge along the bay that'sperfect for watching windsailing, a cement pad where I see folks doing yoga, stretching or just hanging out... and even water fountains for your dog. However... drivers beware. The entrances and exits for the parking area are lined with huge pot holes that make turning in dangerous. Expect to take your time navigating them and be extra cautious when turning in with other cars behind you. You will likely take them by surprise with how quickly you have to break. Read moreI love it here has many pleasant views to choose from and they have benches to look north east or south. And if you want to fish take the wooden stairs that are in sight down to the water . You can head north to fish or south to walk along the water. Be careful it's very rocky so remember to wear shoes. If you choose to picnic they have plenty of room and trees for those who seek shade. The views from up top or down below are magnificent. I really enjoy being over at this end of Cole Park. You can also choose to run or jog along the set southdown Ocean Dr. or north to the downtown...
Read moreThe city needs to take care of this area better. Trash collects on the rocky shore and no one picks it up. They do not do upkeep on the stairs. Plus there are speeders with loud modified mufflers who race down Ocean Drive here. It should be a peaceful walk but it isn't. It's noisy and stressful. No stoplights or crosswalk areas for pedestrians crossing the road with speeders. Someone is going to get killed. The city could make this area so much better with only a little effort yet...
