By luck I stumbled across this prime spot to watch Ballon fly by (down wind) from the #AlbuquerqueBallonFest2022. Few people around simple parking at access point and seems to be pretty safe neighborhood surroundings. It was a little hike (1 mile) to the Guadalupe River but worth getting alittle dirty. Saw a few Ballons do "Touch and Goes" right in front of us !!! For all those that drove out to Albuquerque in hope to bring Fido, unfortunately no dogs are allowed. Probably due to noise from burns on the Ballons...

Lots of trails that lead toward the Rio Grande. A lot of joggers but still plenty of space for everyone. Easy, multi use trails for horse riding, joggers, bike riding and walking with dogs or other pets. Dogs should be on leash bc there's people horse riding and jogging. No restroom or water access. Some fishing access (maybe). It's near the town of Corrales so you can drive a few mins to nearby restaurants and shops.

This is a great access point to the Bosque Preserve. Take Meadowlark east to the irrigation channel. Hang a right and follow the dirt road to it's end. There are bike trails, horse trails, and footpaths. Some of the trails wind to the river, while others traverse the cottonwood forest. Please respect the local residents. Thank you.
