I was at the market during the extremely busy Sandoval Master Gardeners plant sale which takes up multiple booths. There was not clear dividers between that booth and the neighboring booth which was also selling plants. I stepped through to the other booth and the owner yelled at me that the exist to the plant sale was the other way (rude, but fine) but then physically shoved me back into the other booth. I could not believe this woman laid hands on me. I wrote to the market about this experience and they told me she was “allowed to protect her booth” apparently by assaulting customers and to “put myself in her shoes” - hard to do since I don’t go around assaulting people. I usually go to this market every week but will never return.

Nothing beats fresh fruits and vegetables from someones garden. We went to the growers market during the harvest festival. There were quite a few booths and a nice variety. I was able to get some beautiful zucchini and squash, can't wait to cook them up! They also had a great variety of fresh hot and sweet peppers, everything you need to spice things up. Everyone is always very nice and the prices are decent. Some growers charge quite a bit more than others so I highly recommend walking around to all the booths first before making any purchases.

While I appreciate the small, local variety of vegetables, meats, plants and breads...I’m not fond of the consistent “pushing” of politics or referendums as soon as you walk into the market area. If I wanted 50% hot air and sweetened deception, I’ll buy cream puffs from the local organic baker, thank you very much.

Quick in and out visit yesterday morning, as I just returned from a long trip and wanted to make sure I was on my way to acquiring the next year's worth of green chile. Specifically, Green Chile from Lopez Farms in Socorro who occupy the space at the Southeastern corner of the market. Chris Lopez and his delightful wife Monette, have great produce and he hand-cranked a bulging bushel of Big Jim medium to get me going with the start of next year's supply. Grabbed a loaded up burrito to go that I brought home and split with my wife. Very productive visit in...

No dogs Allowed. Always wanted to go check out the market. It’s the first growers/farmers market I have ever been to that prohibited all except service animals. It was a lot smaller than expected as well. I didn’t spend much time there because I couldn’t leave my dogs in the truck very long. Was getting hot even with the windows all the way down. Going back to the website, it does say no animals allowed but it should be highlighted and at the beginning of the page. Not buried in a paragraph. I’ll be going to market in Los Ranchos from now on, they seem to be...
