Why do these tea shops all got to overcharge? And what's with all the nasty vegetables? Why does it always got to be dumb salads and cucumber sandwiches? So gross... Why can't there just be a basic sandwich? Like ham and cheese or turkey and cheese or pb&j? I remember this one tea house I used to go to downtown, it was a simple half sandwich, (which I could order without condiments) a bowl of fruit, and a scone with creme fraiche. It came with one cup of tea and it was $10 a person. But you could pay extra for a pot of tea. Then there was another tea shop I went to- their tea times were 25.00 but they did have a few extra goodies. I would not pay more than $30 per person. Especially if you're going to give me nasty vegetables. All I want is a pot of tea, a couple of scones with creme fraiche and some fruit. If there's going to be something savory then a quiche, or charcuterie board or a simple sandwich that's customizable. But always have some kind of alternative cucumber sandwiches because a lot of people don't like them. And the asparagus thing was incredibly uncreative. (Not to mention also gross) At least it's not as pretentious as St...
Read moreA friend brought me here for the first time today, and I'm so glad she did. This place was just wonderful. We sat in a booth, but there are tables in an Alice in Wonderland themed room. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. There were so MANY teas to choose from. We chose a lavender blueberry which was amazing. My friend enjoyed the chicken salad on a croissant, and I had chicken soup and a croissant. Both were delicious. I definitely want to go back and sample some other teas and some scones or chocolates. I'd love to make an appointment to do one of their high teas sometimes, too. In the shop they have about every tea you can imagine, chocolates, essential oils, and estate sale collectable items. It's a great place to just go and browse and I'm sure you won't leave empty handed. Upon leaving I was given a punch card that gives you your tenth pot of tea free. It was just a wonderful experience all around. Definitely go check this place out if you haven't. You...
Read moreIf you haven't done high tea at Corrales Teas and Chocolates (or just gone for lunch lol), this is your sign!!!! OMG it's so good! You can dine in on their regular menu or do high tea! Both are ridiculously affordable! You get so much food for $39 a person (high tea)!!! I go to tea at least once a month. There are a few options in town now, which is great for having options, but it's hard to find one with a great price and great menu. Corales Tea is gonna give them all a run for their $$$$$!!!! Not only was the food delicious, but the portions were big as well! 3 kinds of tea sandwiches, 3 savories, a whole side salad, scones, 3 desserts, and fresh fruit, lol The tea selection was delicious and the waitress and atmosphere were fabulous! Everyone is always just so great there! Going to lunch at Corales Tea is always delicious, but I can't wait to go back for high tea again!!!! I also love their chicken salad on the croissant and the...
