I attended the Starry Night with Alpacas painting event last week at Windy Haven Alpaca Farm. I am a city girl who was visiting the Poconos for the first time and happened upon this looking for things to do. It was just a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Well organized, welcoming, beautiful and fun. We were given bottomless cups of carrots to feed the numerous alpacas that joined us for our painting. They were our companions throughout the event and it was hilarious. It was a guided non-judgemental painting project and everyone just went with it!! (they had the alpacas on the canvas outlined for us in advance which was greatly appreciated) You can bring your own beverage of choice. People were there solo, in pairs, and small groups. It is a family run farm so they were also on hand to answer questions, interact, and they know the names of each alpaca (and even their personalities). This is unique and fun and relaxing.
