The Time Capsule — Attraction in Cranston

Loved going here bought a lot of comics, but never games. So when I was looking for older games for my 360 my son’s who do buy games and gameing systems from them told me to go there. So I decided to get some games. I found two games for my 360 and two were for an older Xbox. I asked the clerk if I could play them on my 360 and the clerk told me that I should be able to play them to my 360 and if not I can return them for store credit. I purchased the games, the 360 worked but I couldn’t play the Xbox games on my 360. So I went back and I talked to the clerk who sold me the games and I explained to him the situation and he remembered me and sent me to another clerk at the register. Since the clerk at the register was busy I figured I look and see if I could find some comics that I could purchase. When I reached the register I was told that he couldn’t do anything for me but if I wanted to come back tomorrow and talk to the owner he might be able to do something. I said thank you left the comics that I was going to purchase on the counter and left. I understand that it’s a small business and ever dollar can make or break you and that I didn’t have my original receipt and it was over the allowed time for returns (which I wasn’t aware of). But both games came out to $5 and I just wanted store credit. It’s simply not worth making a trip for something the clerk could of handled. 2 weeks ago when I went looking for a mic I was told about a store in W. Warwick. So I went and I bought $40 worth of games from Reality A Games and I had some problems with some of those games as well but when I went and talked to the clerk there. He was more than happy to exchange them or give me store credit. Too bad they don’t sell comics because for $5 The Time Capsile lost me as a customer. I hope that the $5...

Absolutely never going here again.

I’ve frequented this shop for a while now. I walked in. It was 5 min before closing. I just wanted the issues I hadn’t gotten for the week. Went right to the shelf. Grabbed what I wanted. No hesitation. Was reminded no less than 4 times “I am closing soon” within about 3 min.

I bring my comics up and get told. “These are tomorrows releases I can’t sell you these”.

Then why were they on the shelves? Put them up after you close or first thing when you open.

The owner is always gruff and not friendly. He over priced his back issues then posts a discount. Exactly the pricing games Kohl’s does for clothes.

Never going back. This is the worst kind of shop.

Edit: well. I happened to walk in just because while I said “never” I usually try to give people a second chance. I certainly it like getting them from others. The owner apologized for the past situation which I give credit for. But now I come back to see the reply of “a review full of lies”. Calling your customer a liar, essentially doubles down on the problem.

This is the best video / comic gaming used an new store in RI such a great spot to bring the kids the owner an staff are absolutely amazing they welcome everyone like they've known you all for their entire lives excellent prices great deals can't say enuff about how great this shop is n so glad they r our neighborhood go to spot a true gem of Cranston R.I I hope everyone pops in just 2check it out u won't be disappointed!!! They also have unique items for sale for phenomenal prices!!! I have a 13yr old son who's very into gaming which becomes very pricey at times but I can always count on my boys at the time capsule to hook us up an save my wallet with their incredible competitive prices an I can always depend on getting the best pricing on any an all of my family's gaming needs always cheaper same if not better quality an guaranteed superb service a cut above all the rest !!! It's old school customer service in today's society enuff said go check it out 4urself u won't go back to your old spots...
