This review is for the hiking trails in the park. I haven't been to the pool in ages! From the first parking lot right when you enter the park, you will see a sign that says "quarry" to the right. We parked in a large lot, ate food at the covered pavilion with plenty of picnic tables, there is no bathroom, but there is a little library in the parking lot. From the parking lot, walk over the bridge. The trail is gravel (good for park employees to drive on) and wide enough for many people to pass. The quarry remains are just a 5 minute walk on the flat path. There is a bench in front of the caves and even a couple of picnic tables in the lawn surrounding.
If you continue along the path up the hill, you will eventually run into the playground, picnic pavilion, and pool. There are many small dirt paths taking you off the main gravel road, but we still ended up at the same point. On the way back down the from pool area, you could choose to walk through the upper parking lot and back to the car on the road. We chose to walk back into the woods and take a different dirt path that had us walking above the caves instead of in front of them.
Lots to explore in the area and fairly quiet for being in the city. You don't want to play in the creek since the water is...

Read moreIt's a community rec center. My GPS took me to the actual rec center building. There's no clear signage. It's the first right when you turn onto the road/driveway, before the bridge. It says authorized vehicles only to drive through, but then there's a full on parking lot at the other end of the trail. So, I thought, that was stupid. Also there were tons of signs about not going into the creek and water in general because of sewage. Here's an idea: DONT BUILD A PARK NEXT TO WHERE THERE WILL BE SEWAGE. The set up, the directions, all very dumb and bizarre. Parking is almost non existent as there are...
