Schmitt's Interiors, Inc. — Attraction in Cumberland Township

This is actually Jen Russell writing a review from both of us. We wanted to ditch our upstairs carpet, and compared prices and processes from three local family-owned flooring companies. We are delighted that we went with Schmitt's. From the moment I entered their showroom, quite obviously a cancer patient, Ryan made me feel welcome and comfortable. He educated me on options (we ended up with glue-down vinyl plank), followed through with an estimate delivered when promised, evaluated the area twice - once with his dad - to make sure the work was carefully planned, and communicated with us promptly every step of the way. An unexpected bump occurred during the install (flooring factory error), and he was onsite within the hour to get the project back on track. The installers were friendly and accommodating, even designing a barrier to keep our cats off the glue! Our new floors, plus all the finished edges, look fantastic ("after" is the wood-look floor in photos). Throughout the process, Ryan was personally supportive, showed exceptional concern for my immunity issues, and did all he could to ensure my safety. There customer service is absolutely horrible!!! If there was a button for no stars thats what they would have gotten. I stopped in in December and spoke to Donna who said they were incredibly busy and she would call me to set up an appt. I never heard from her so I called again and a man answered and had me make an appt to go to the store. I went back in January and she gave me fabric books to take home. I picked out fabric and her and her husband came to my house in January to measure my chairs that I wanted reupholstered. They said it would be $2,000 and $1, 100 deposit and they would need the deposit that day. I wrote them a check and they said they would pick the chairs up the first week of April. They left my house and never heard from them again until I emailed them May 20th asking for my deposit back. Maybe if I was spending $20,000 they would have been more in communication. Little do they know I am building a home and will be needing a design company to help me. It sure as hell isn't...

We contracted with Schmitt's Interiors to install new flooring for the entire first floor of our home. Bottom line up front: This is a very professional company with courteous and knowledgeable employees and craftsmen /craftswomen who know their business. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the service and product provided. We explained to Ryan and Marie what we were looking for and they patiently worked with us until we decided on the design and color that was right for us. The entire process, from initial and follow-up consultations to the actual installation, went smoothly and without any stress. The installers knew what they were doing and were careful and attentive when moving our furniture during the installation process. Final words: I wouldn’t hesitate to do business again...
