This haunt is the real deal! From the moment I walked in, I got caught up in all the intricate details each room provided. As I was being amazed at the enormous amount of time this group must have spent putting all this together, I would abruptly get slammed back into reality as some frightfully hideous creature would come out of some shadow that shouldn't exist.
I was impressed that they broke the tour down into individual groups. There were only two of us, and we proceeded in by ourselves. This didn't last long however, as a group of four ahead of us got scared into running back towards the entrance. Their arrival was fore-warned by all of their screaming. The remainder of our trip included this group catching back up and retreating again, off and on, as they kept getting terrified into running into various directions. That, in itself, made the evening more than worth the price of admission.
The Four Scythes crew made great use of both obvious, and VERY not-so-obvious, scare tactics. Even when I was 100% sure of what was going to happen, the characters would wait until the absolute last split second before reacting, lulling me into a false sense of security. Yep, they got me again.
The fact that they could pull off such heart rate increasing panics, in their "no touch" environment was a feat well played. The labyrinth of rooms made me feel at times that there may be no way out. Without spoiling the adventure for anyone else, I will say I encountered things in this haunt I've never seen elsewhere. Well played Four Scythes!
As my son and I were walking away from the haunt, comparing anxiety wrenching moments, we were then funneled into Clown Town. Apparently our evening wasn't over yet... Not by a long shot. If you dare to enter there, you truly have to find your OWN WAY OUT. Make sure you have a good grip on your sanity before taking on that experience.
I've come to find out they didn't exploit this panic striking maze every night of the run, so if you missed that, you may have missed...

To be honest, I thought it was phenomenal. The jump-scares, the makeup, the costuming. Ah! It. Was. Delicious. The short clown with the buck tooth was hilarious and really made the first part of the maze! The chainsaw man? Are you KIDDING??? I’ve never run through bags of cotton candy before, but it was exhilarating with that horrid sound behind me. The next part of the maze was more…how do you say…trauma inducing. The vampire hunters at the beginning were freaking HOT. They told us that we had to hold back some vampire queen? We kinda failed ngl…but it started the whole experience. We got talked to by a nun and had to pay our respects. We did not. After we ran through some woods with a little zombie man thing chasing us, we made it to yet another chainsaw room. At first we didn’t really run, we just kinda walked. Until they ran at us and began the final run of the night. I’ve never moved so fast in my entire life. At the end, we were laughing really hard (and crying), but it was great. What a time to be alive. The scariest part was the baby doll at the beginning. She really scared the crap out of me. But overall, a scaretastic time!
P.S. did I mention the hot...
Read moreWould love to have been able to enjoy this haunted house which looked very neat inside, however after waiting 2 and a half hours in line, I was dying of thirst, in desperate need of a restroom, and my feet and back were killing me from standing so long. Got through the first maze of a line finally, to go through a small maze of jump scares, only to pop out to our dismay, to another maze of a line. I wasn't happy, the kids were miserable and it was very hard to enjoy the main haunted house attraction after all that. Not to mention the fact that they were so busy and got backed up and we ended up being right on top of the group ahead of us so we knew what was coming and the kids weren't even scared, which was the whole reason we went was to see them scared and enjoying it. They were just ready to go home. Very expensive for a crappy experience! Never again will I make the mistake of going here again! Was also nice to see the employees and possibly people running the place at the concession stands looking at the huge lines bragging about how much money they made. Real nice touch guys!!...
