If I could give more stars, I would!
My wife and I went here for our wedding anniversary, and from start to finish, it was an unforgettable dining experience. Our waitress, Lauren, was absolutely wonderful - attentive and friendly without hovering over us like a helicopter. She struck the perfect balance, allowing us to enjoy our night while making sure we had everything we needed.
The atmosphere was quaint and intimate, the kind of place that immediately feels special - perfect for a date night or any meaningful occasion.
For our appetizer, we ordered the pork belly, and it was to die for. The meat was incredibly tender, and the sauce was so immaculate that I found myself using my bread to soak up every last drop of the sweet tea glaze.
For my main course, I ventured out and tried the venison for the first time, and it absolutely blew me away. The meat was tender and perfectly prepared with a blackberry purée that paired beautifully and elevated every bite. My wife had the pork chops, and they were nothing short of a beautiful, tasteful explosion of flavors - rich, balanced, and cooked to perfection.
We also shared the fully loaded whipped potatoes, which were out of this world. I usually find potatoes a bit plain on their own, but these were rich, buttery, fluffy, milky, and creamy all at once. The bacon bits were smoky, crunchy, and bursting with flavor - definitely not your average garnish. You can tell the chef truly cares about every detail that leaves the kitchen.
To top it all off, they surprised us with a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful touch.
This restaurant is easily a 10-out-of-10 experience. The quality of the food, the care in presentation, and the overall experience rival Michelin-starred establishments. If I could rate it higher than five stars, I absolutely would. We will...
Read moreSo…my wife and I went to this place, many years ago, when it was a different restaurant. I think it was called Bella, an Italian restaurant. Recently, I drove by and saw a new name. Since we were not thrilled with the food before, I didn’t give it much thought.
My son is currently home from college and he wanted to find a nice restaurant for dinner. He found this place but I wasn’t familiar with it. The menu looked great and I saw they had a bread pudding with hand-made cinnamon ice cream for dessert…say no more for me!
We drive up and I realize it’s the same location where Bella used to be. We find out it’s the same owner as well. So my expectations are not super high at this point. Let me start off by saying, that I was very surprised and impressed at the quality of the food and the chef-inspired menu. They have created a well rounded menu with a variety of options. We tried the chicken, trout, and ravioli with duck. We also had the carrot side. All of them were cooked to perfection and had deep complex flavors. Creamy grits, whipped potatoes, broccolini, Brussels sprouts - all very well done.
Our server was Shaun and he was amazing. He did not steer us wrong with his recommendations. He was attentive and took care of everything we needed.
For dessert we tried the soufflé and bread pudding. Both were very good.
I’m so glad we found this place. We will be coming back. This is hands-down the best restaurant in Cumming, and rivals many of the best in Alpharetta as well. We’ve visited most of all the top restaurants in Roswell, Alpharetta, and Cumming. There aren’t many good restaurants in Cumming so this is a rare find. Since this is our first time, I hope that next time will prove be to be just as good.
Keep up the amazing work!!! Thank you for a...
Read moreThis was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. My wife and I celebrated our 19th anniversary recently and made a dinner reservation at Meadow Woodfire Grill. The host greeted us when we walked in and immediately wished us a happy anniversary (as did the hostess as we left the restaurant after our meal). The service from the entire staff was top notch throughout, and our server, Kevin, took excellent care of us. He explained (and gave us his thoughts on) many of the items on the menu, and he was able to strike that perfect balance of being attentive without being intrusive.
The foot itself was outstanding. The complimentary rolls are a great start, and we followed it up with one of the best crab cakes we've ever had. For entrees, my wife got the filet mignon, and I had the cioppino. Both were phenomenal. We ordered the roasted carrots and asparagus for our side dishes, and they were both very good as well, especially the carrots. To finish the meal, we received a complimentary dessert with an edible "Happy Anniversary" sign made of chocolate in it.
While it's not the cheapest place to enjoy a meal, the quality of the food and the portion sizes that you receive make it a great place to celebrate a special occasion. So nice to have a restaurant of this quality in Cumming. We will...
