A Culinary Masterpiece Worthy of the Gods – Seven Stars at Happy Family Chinese Restaurant!
Ladies and gentlemen, fellow food lovers, and connoisseurs of exquisite cuisine—brace yourselves for a dining experience so divine, so utterly transcendent, that you will find yourself questioning every meal you’ve ever eaten before. I am here to tell you about the absolute MAGNUM OPUS of Chinese cuisine in Cumming, GA—the Seven Stars dish at Happy Family Chinese Restaurant!
From the moment this dish arrived at my table, I knew I was about to embark on a journey of pure gastronomic euphoria. The aroma alone was enough to transport me to a serene temple in the mountains of China, where wise culinary monks have perfected the art of flavor for centuries. As the steam rose in mesmerizing swirls, carrying the tantalizing scent of expertly seasoned meats and vegetables, I felt my anticipation reach a fever pitch.
Then, behold! The presentation—a breathtaking masterpiece worthy of its celestial name. A vibrant mix of succulent meats, tender poultry, and the freshest seafood, all lovingly embraced by a medley of crisp, colorful vegetables. But the true pièce de résistance? The SEVEN colossal, perfectly cooked, golden-hued jumbo shrimp, arranged like sentinels around the dish, as if protecting the treasure trove of flavors within. It was a visual spectacle that demanded reverence!
And then—THE FIRST BITE. My taste buds EXPLODED with unadulterated joy! The light, yet profoundly flavorful sauce coated every morsel in a harmonious symphony of umami, sweetness, and the faintest whisper of spice. The shrimp? A revelation! Juicy, tender, and with a delicate snap that only the freshest seafood can provide. The chicken and beef? So tender they practically MELTED in my mouth, infused with the essence of the sauce like a divine culinary marriage. The vegetables? Bursting with freshness, offering the perfect contrast of crunch and tenderness in every bite.
And let’s talk about the rice—oh, the rice! Whether you opt for the fluffy, cloud-like white rice or indulge in the golden, slightly crisp perfection of the fried rice (which, let’s be honest, is SO worth the extra dollar), you are in for a starch-filled embrace that ties the whole dish together like the final brushstroke on a masterful painting.
By the time I finished, I was in a state of blissful disbelief. Had I truly just experienced the perfect dish? Could such culinary excellence really exist in our mortal world? YES, my friends, it DOES—and it resides at Happy Family Chinese Restaurant in Cumming, GA.
If you have not yet experienced the sheer, unadulterated joy of the Seven Stars, you are missing out on a dish that could very well redefine your understanding of what great food is. I would rate this dish a million out of five stars if I could, but for now, I will settle for an urgent plea: RUN, don’t walk, to Happy Family and order this dish IMMEDIATELY. Your taste buds will thank you, your soul will sing, and your stomach will forever be...
Read moreEvery time I place an order online, I have problems. First, I had issues logging in, and then only part of our address would show up. Each time, I manually added the part that was missing, but then it would revert back to missing in their view. Someone would always call and say "We are missing part of the address." Although this was a little irritating, it was no big deal. The food would eventually be delivered. We always put under the instructions "Please do not knock, please leave on the porch" since the gratuity was added while checking out. We do this because we have two very yappy dogs who try to dart past us when we open the door. (Which is annoying and stressful) One particular evening, the driver kept knocking and I said "The instructions said to leave the food on the porch. I am sorry the dogs are barking and I can't hear you." He said, "I don't have time to read the instructions when I have several deliveries." It was almost like he was irritated that he had to deliver the food. (No apology) On another occasion, the driver would not stop knocking and he told us it was because we didn't leave a tip. I ALWAYS ADD GRATUITY. I am not sure what is up with their website, but we always seem to have some sort of issue. Perhaps I should have just figured out a way to create a new account. Either way, a simple phone call to ask if we wanted to add gratuity would have been appropriate and appreciated. Last night, after traveling for 5 hours, we placed an order for our children. The driver (as always) called to tell us the address was wrong...Only this time, it had the correct street, but the wrong numerical address. My husband confirmed that the address they had was incorrect, but the driver still left our food with one of our neighbors. Unfortunately, by the time we figured out which house the food was delivered to, our new neighbor had already brought it inside. (Probably thinking it was a welcoming gift) My husband (very politely and calmly) attempted to call the rude driver back and explain the many technical issues we had, but he said "Sir I am not going to argue with you." and then hung up. My husband was not arguing, he was attempting to see if we could resolve the issue. I then called the restaurant and asked to speak to a manager. I am guessing that the individual who answered is also the delivery guy, manager, and owner. He told me that the manager did not work in that store and was not available. I then asked for a voicemail or contact info. The individual hung up on me as well. We gave this place many chances, but we will never do so again. Honestly, the food isn't even that good, and they are way overpriced in terms of portions. We only continued to order because our kids love the lo...
Read moreWe order from these guys almost weekly for delivery. Last night we called for a delivery and was told to go online and order since they were too busy to take our order over the phone....ok..cool...we order online and wait...an hour goes by and we call...she says it’s on the way...we call 30 minutes later and she says it been delivered...here is where it gets messed up...the delivery guy dropped our food at the wrong house...when we say we never got the food the said “it was delivered to your house” we said it was not since we are calling saying we don’t have it. The driver then gets on the phone and says an old man got the food...I am not an old man. Then the lady gets back on the phone and starts getting upset that we have the nerve to say we didn’t get our food. She says we don’t make mistakes and the driver (that she knows for 3 years) has never made a mistake and that we were wrong and we had our food. So she says “we can make and bring out to you again, but you will never be allowed to order from us again” ummm WHAT? she explains that if you were to ever ask for a refund, or say your have ANY issue..their computer blacklists you and you are no longer allowed to order from them and would have to get a password for the computer to go in and unblock us from any future orders? We are confused and a little upset by this point..she would keep interrupting us when we were trying to explain thats it’s ok to make mistakes, we just wanted our food...but nope..she wouldn’t let us finish talking and kept saying we were wrong and that the food was delivered and they are now closed and nothing they can do and we are blacklisted..so yeah...whatever you do...don’t ever say they are wrong..I get it..mom and pop stores can do whatever they want since they don’t answer to anyone...but wow...amazed at how they can’t own up to a mistake....read some of the negative reviews..read quite a few of getting yelled at, blacklisted, horrible customer service...wish you luck if you ever have issues with the company...my business is now going elsewhere...am sure this will not be read by them or will they care...just needed to share my last and final time with...
