We went Saturday to the Rickenbaugh dealer in Denver to purchase a Volvo S90, money ready to go, and no one even bothered to come greet us after being in the showroom for 10 minutes. Several sales men looked up from their cell phones as they sat at their desks, but did nothing past that. It was 4 pm on Saturday and they were not busy. Guess I'll be buying my 65k new car from Pederson's Volvo in Ft. Collins instead.
Update.... July 20th, 2018 We visited the Rickenbaugh Infiniti showroom to look at QX80s. Dan was the sales person who helped us and he was amazing. He started by explaining the difference in QX80 packaging, colors and interiors. He pulled 2 off the lot for us to look at and test drive. On the test drive he explained the safety features, history and advancements that Infiniti has integrated into their vehicles, and how these features make the Infiniti driving experience unique compared to other luxuary brands. Then my husband and I both took turns test driving, trying out the safety features. When we returned to the dealership, Dan took the time to help us form a plan for trade-in and pick up of a new QX80 in the next month. Never was he pushy, but rather extremely knowledgeable; never bored or uninterested, but passionate and attentive. Dan demonstrated to us his exceptional understanding of what we were looking for in comfort, style and most importantly safety. He covered worse case scenarios with us at my request and had a solid answer for everything I threw at him. What also impressed us was his confidence in both the general manager Nick and owner Mary, to stand behind the Rickenbaugh name and the Infiniti brand. We will definately be buying our QX80 from Rickenbaugh Infiniti and Dan in the near future.
Additional Update. December 2018. If you have read my other reviews, you have seen how a skilled salesman can turn a bad experience into one that is great. Great enough that when the right QX80 came across their lot in September 2018, we decided to buy it from a very exceptional salesman; Dan. The process was perfect and already the customer service has gone beyond anything that is offered in Casper. The new QX80 needed a rock ding fixed(obtained during transport), and Nick made sure I was given the royal treatment. I was given a loaner vehicle and when the QX80 was fixed, arrangements were made to meet me in Wheatland so i wouldn't have to drive 4 hours one way to pick up my vehicle. When my Cadillac CTS had to be in the shop (2012), I was told by the Casper dealer they didnt have a car for me, so i was given the shop car to drive (which I fondly named Hoopdy after driving it for a month) and i couldn't take the vehicle more than 10 miles outside of town. This was my expectation when I went to drop the QX80 off at Rickenbaugh. I was shocked to be given a beautiful QX60 to drive! This is the type of commitment to service that ALL dealers should offer, but don't. In a world of cutting corners and not caring about customers unless it's to make a quick buck, the level of standards shown by Rickenbaugh and the staff is amazing. It's what earns the trust of customers and keeps them coming back. Would I buy from them again? Absolutely! In fact i have my eye on a QX60 for my parents....Mom, Dad if youre reading this, disregard the above statement! Dan, Nick and the Rickenbaugh crew can be proud of the their abilities to make this tough, vicious world a bit more enjoyable. Thank you guys and I'll be...
Read moreDo not bring your vehicle to this place! Extremely unprofessional but they think they’re good talkers! Scheming customers out of their money! This is your typical “stereotype” experience when ppl say, “you’ll leave here with more problems than when you went in, just so you can bring it back, and they can keep taking money from you!” Brought my 2011 Qx56 here because it died on me and my mechanic recommended bringing it to the dealer! Dealer ends up telling me that I need to replace the “steering lock assembly!” Mind you my battery was completely dead and would not charge, not with my uncles Lincoln Navigator nor the tow truck guys portable charger! Dealer said we need to do diagnostic, I asked how with dead battery, one lady says they use “dummy battery” next person says “we don’t use those here.” Dealer eventually tells me they were able to some how charge the battery to get enough juice to run diagnostic, dealer then says “ we’re not sure if steering lock assembly is the only problem… we’ll have to see after we fix this issue! Then I receive a call about needing to replace the already dead battery so they can reprogram the vehicle and test everything out, they want me to buy a battery from them first 350.00, after 2000.00 charge for repairs already made! I tell them no I will get my own battery and bring it in, bought my battery for 100.00 less than dealers asking price ! After having to install my own battery back into the car, they simply hand me the keys and send me off and when I asked about them stating they had to “reprogram the vehicle etc,?” They simply denied ever saying that and asked me if the car started after putting in the new battery, I said yes and they responded with “it’s all good then!” Now for the best part, i retuned back to Rickenbaugh dealership to make them aware of the new issues my dashboard was having, as they had worked under the dash on the steering wheel, none of my dash buttons were functioning, as well as my rear self locking/locking buttons on the trunk door itself ! On top of that they charged me for reprogramming two of my keyfobs which previously worked complete fine but now the one that was my daily doesn’t work while my spare does! UNBELIEVABLE AND COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! The dealers response to all the new issues after servicing my vehicle was that I needed to do another diagnostic to rule out anything that wasn’t their doing, and if in fact it was something they did wrong, then I wouldn’t be charged the 220.00 diagnostic!!! SCAMMERS through and through!...
Read moreWe recently took my wife's 2020 Infiniti QX50 to Rickenbaugh Infiniti service department for an oil change. I typically service my own vehicles but just didn't have the time. When we arrived the rep talked her into a tire rotation for $35. An hour later they were done with the car and gave us the bill which was much higher than they quoted for an oil change. My wife paid it and started driving away as I looked over the receipt. They charged us $13 for clips they supposedly broke taking the belly pan off. I asked why we had to pay when they broke them and they said they always break. I did the last oil change and didn't break any of them. They charged us for 6 quarts of oil at $7 a quart when the owner's manual and all other sources I looked up call for 5 quarts with a filter change. When we later challenged them on that they said it took 5.6 quarts, which NO source says, and they said they can't charge for partial quarts even though it was bulk oil. Next, they put a sticker on the windshield that showed we needed another oil change (synthetic) at 5000 miles despite the owner's manual showing a 7500 mile oil change interval. They charged us for the $35 tire rotation that THEY DIDN'T EVEN DO!!!! Even the receipt said they didn't do it due to tire wear but they billed us for it anyhow. We were charged $10 for "shop supplies" on top of their $200 per hour rate which is quite a ripoff. Why isn't that in the cost of an oil change? They also offered us a set of tires at 30-50% higher than we can get the same tires elsewhere, even though it was supposedly a "buy 3 get one free" deal. We got a $35 refund but that's all. If you do business with these people, watch your receipt closely. Better yet stay...
