Andrew Leitch Park — Attraction in Dale City

Ok if you’re over 35 and have ever had a back problem you might want to give it a miss. It’s really not a bad place, but the waterslide is super fast and rough on the body very violent fast spinning and definitely not for anyone with even a tiny back problem. Really oriented for very small children and teenagers not great for adults. Kind of risky because the spinning on either slide is very extreme. We went to the waterworks water park/pool. My son and his buddy had a blast (they're 7 and 8 y.o.). Even though it was quite crowded that day, I still found a shady spot to sit and relax while the boys played. I would also like to note that the lifeguard staff was some of than most diligent lifeguards I've ever witnessed. Awesome public park with a baseball field, softball field, basketball courts and 2 playgrounds (one for toddlers another adjacent for kids) It has picnic tables and benches right by the jungle gym for parents to take a break while still supervising! Large parking lot with close, access to a paved path leading to the playground. The main drawback with this park is the lack of bathroom facilities... it does have a port-o-potty. Best of...
