Great place for the kids. Family centric. Easy to navigate. There’s things for all ages to do. Easy to “lose” kids here though.
I’ve been here before, and it’s always SUPER crowded. This time, we had the opportunity to go to a private event here after hours. It was so nice to be able to enjoy things without people on top of you or pushing to get in to the features or teens running over little kids at the splash pad. One thing I noticed was that, even though the facility was only closed for cleaning for a half hour between the regular day and our event; it was remarkably clean and organized. All the chairs were placed accordingly, all trash was picked up and receptacles were all empty. The deck wasn’t covered in old gum, the chairs weren’t all busted up, and the facilities are in good repair. The landscaping is in excellent condition and it’s obvious they take care of it; and all the features of the water park actually worked! The features are all also in good repair, with all buckets turning and the lily pads are all intact with no holes or wear.
Bathrooms are in ok shape although they smelled moldy and a bit like old sewage. Although I didn’t really interact with anyone one-on-one, the customer service seems evident with all the lifeguards being pleasant and approachable. Always nodding and smiling when you walk by, they aren’t over the top when it comes to correcting kids, and still maintain a safe environment. There is seemingly limited parking compared to capacity, but there’s extra parking right around the corner-with about a 1/4 mile walk to the door. Does have handicap access.
One thing that stands out to me though, is the ability to “lose” your kid in the crowd. Being so overstimulated with all there is to do there, my kid kept bolting. Even with the limited number of guests that we had there, I still found it difficult to keep track of him. The pathways are pretty narrow and deck space is limited which added to the difficulty. Having four kids there at once of different ages, they were all over the park and...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would!!! I normally would not write a review but I wanted to let people know they need to secure their valuables because there are some thieves that work there. I brought my daughter and her friends to a birthday party at Waterworks Waterpark and she took her sunglasses off and left them at the pavilion to go swimming and when she returned the sunglasses were missing. She asked the lifeguard that was standing by the pavilion did anyone come over and pick up her sunglasses and he walked her over to the lost and found to check. When my daughter left the park and he was telling the other lifeguards and concession workers that he took the sunglasses not knowing one of the workers is a family friend. When we got the phone call the same lifeguard had them, my wife and I drove back to the waterpark. The same lifeguard that walked my daughter to the lost and found was wearing the sunglasses. When I approached him he took them off and said he found them. He literally was wearing the sunglasses that he said he didn’t know what happened to them. If the sunglasses were cheap, I wouldn’t care but they were a pair of $275 sunglasses that a lifeguard on their staff tried to take and lie about not having them. There is no telling how many times this has happened to other guests when you have dishonest staff and lifeguards who lack integrity on your team. It’s a shame one person can ruin it for the whole waterpark but several of the other workers knew he took them and didn’t say anything. I definitely would not recommend this place because of this one incident. We live in a place where people work hard for their things and someone thinks they can just take the things people work for. Glad we got the glasses back and we didn’t...
Read moreThis waterpark is a great idea! Since it gives you an opportunity to attend a mini sized waterpark without the crushing cost of some of the bigger waterparks. However, the staff there are very unprofessional and unfriendly. I have scheduled family reunions to attend this establishment, children groups, as well as church ministries to attend this establishment. And every time I go, I encounter rudeness from the underage staff. One time when I attended the waterpark with my Ministry group and we ordered food we waited over an hour for the food. When I went over to inquire what was taking so long, one of the Teenagers on staff very rudely said, “Your order is not done yet. You’ll get it when you get it.” which was very rude to say.
Recently, I wittness a lady who identified herself as a minister and Director of a Christian Academy endure the same thing. However, instead of Management stepping up and addressing the rudeness of the teenagers, they escorted the Director and her group off the premises. This judgment seemed very unfair to me, which prompted me to come on here and leave a review. This has also discouraged me to attend this waterpark, and I will encourage my many other christian organizations to do the same to avoid the same unjust treatment from rude staff members. All in all, I think this would be a great place if Management would reconsider who they hire to handle their...
