My family and I visited the park for our first time today. We were having a great time until we came in contact with one of the ride operators named Chris Buchanan. On more than one occasion throughout the day my husband and I observed him yelling at kids in the kid zone. Apparently he works at a waterpark but is very offended when he gets wet. He actually tried to put my 11 year old daughter in time out when she accidentally squirted him with one of the water guns that the park has attached to the rail. She even said she apologized. It seems that if the park did not want their employees squirted with water they should not provide water guns in the kid zone. When we spoke with Robert, Chris' boss about his rudeness his only response was that Chris is one of their "strongest enforcers". He did not apologize or act concerned. Perhaps your strongest enforcer should not be dealing with young children but should be near the lazy river where teenagers are chasing each other around, rough housing and running over little children? While I have no problem with rules or my daughter being told by an adult not to do something it is all in the way it is presented. There is a tactful way to speak to people, even children, to be respectful and gain compliance at the same time. Yelling in a child's face bringing them to tears is not necessary. Other than Chris' extreme rudeness this was a very relaxed park. However, this experience will be reason enough for my family never to return. There was a lifeguard named Brionna that was very sweet and helpful... perhaps she will soon give a class on verbal judo to...
Read moreI went on a Friday. The parking lot was maxed. Good thing the rec center next door allows the use of their parking spaces. There were school busses out there but, not sure if they were there for the Waterpark. Maybe call the park in advance to see when are their less busy days or when daycare kids won't be there.
One of the card readers for apple Pay didn't work. So, I had to step aside and purchase online. Worked out fine, but it was highly inconvenient as I have 2 toddlers to watch out for as I'm on the phone. I wish the clerk would've been more accommodating & offered to try another reader.
The admission prices are very affordable as well as the fee to bring in a cooler, which I highly praise. From concessions, I bought 1 churro for $3 it was small for the price, but it's really good.
I purchased a rental table a week in advance but, apparently for the wrong day 🤦♀️ I wasn't refunded, but I was able to rent an umbrella w/2 lounge chairs for an extra 10$ worked out perfect for me. Another option was to reschedule for another day, which would've been awesome, but I wasn't planning on going back (my kids are still small, so 1 n done is enough 😪) Also, I went to their office for this, and the reader there worked perfectly well.
The umbrella was quite worn, and the lounge cushions quite dirty. Also, mostly, the beginning portion of the park looked worn down. The concrete could use pressure cleaning and walls repainted. This is the reason for...
Read moreDidn’t get to ride any of the “big” rides due to taking my toddler so this experience is for my parents on that aspect. Make sure you arrive early, I got there 30 minutes before opening and was lucky enough to get a spot in the parking lot and there was already a line forming. This was on a weekend not sure how the weekday is. The parking lot is not big at all especially for the amount of guests this Waterpark receives. They have free life jackets to wear while there and free tubes to float in in the lazy River. The lifeguards take their jobs very seriously here. I got whistled at for letting my child that’s right next to me and I’m trying to teach him how to swim float next to me within arms reach. The lifeguard wouldn’t let us wear our water shoes on the slide in the kid jungle park part. That was nice for him bc it was his first time experiencing water slides on his own and we really enjoyed that. Just wish I could’ve kept my water shoes on. Another lifeguard took it upon himself to put his hands on my child to physically move him out of his way when he got off of a baby slide bc he didn’t immediately move and I guess I’m his eyes was taking too long to get up n move so I got into it with him and walked off to another part of the park. Plenty of pool space to swim in. So overall enjoyed ourselves here. Did not try the food nor needed locker rental so not sure in that area but great time for a toddler so I highly suggest you try it out...
