Northaven Park & Greenbelt — Attraction in Dallas

This park and recreation complex is a great place to walk your dog, have a picnic lunch, or play tennis, basketball, baseball, flag football, fly a kite, or just sit in the grass under the shade trees and read a book. It has a playground for kids, an outdoor basketball court, two fenced in tennis courts as well as 2 baseball diamonds. This park is as nice today ( if not better) than it was some 50 years ago when I first started coming here to play Chamber of Commerce baseball in the summer of 1974. Little soggy from the rain, but the kids and I love it! Beautiful creek running by it. I didn't even see that much litter. This community must really take care of this park. I use to play soft ball here when I was a kid. We joke that it's the only park left in the world with a merry go round. Like a special antique toy ride that mommy used to play on.
