I've tried to contact the owners twice to voice my concerns and they did not call me back either time when I expressed worry watching one of their speech therapist interact with the children she was working with. This person, I think her name is Victoria (Veronica?), but I'm not sure. She is a larger woman, long hair, tattoo on her arm. She was on her phone while these children were trying to get her attention - it was clear they were supposed to be in her care. When she did finally look up from her phone she was talking very loudly and rudely to the small kiddos, rolling her eyes and even grabbed the one little girl by her arm from the trampoline, dragged her over to a different part of the room and forced her to sit down and said "I'm not doing this with you today". The little girl was also eating a snack and dropped part of it on the floor and asked for help and this therapist (?) angrily picked it up and threw it away and said "you're done..." I was mortified because these special needs kiddos were being neglected and verbally abused. When she worked with this other little boy, she was acting upset, raising her voice and seemed obviously mad at him for not guessing a color or shape wrong, withholding the block that he was reaching for. I watched her over the next hour we were there and I was in tears thinking if this was my child in her care. I tried to talk to the owners that day and called twice since then with no response. Wish the owners would have been more concerned with what I saw. Please don't leave your kiddos in these...
Read moreJust stopped by, but it was unexpectedly closed. No explanation on the door or on the website… it could’ve been really good experience if it was open though.
Update: Thank you for the quick reply!
Update: I finally had my 2.5 year old boy play here. Good points: 1. The price was for the whole day. not a hourly price, so it’s pretty good. 2. Many things to play with! Negative: 1. Probably because of his age, he got bored after 1 hour. He would have enjoyed it better if he went with his friends. 2. My parents bought him toys there, but I think they were stocked for some time that one of them didn’t make train sound as it was supposed to. 3. I check the Facebook page for the schedule, but it’s still confusing at times, because the schedule is not always updated there. Overall view: It would be a nice place to come regularly during the week days, mainly because the weekend schedule is not certain. But because my baby goes to daycare, I will probably come for playdates. *My review is partly based on my kid’s experience. Your kids might like this place more...
Read moreDo not leave your child here. I signed my almost 4yo up for an afternoon camp a few weeks ago. We were told that they’d be checking ID’s to pickup your child. On Monday, they didn’t. Ok, day 1, and they’re getting in the swing of things.
On Tuesday, I come to get my child and find her almost asleep against a tire toy. I go into the play area and grab her- there’s no WRS employee remotely concerned or around her. She’s very dehydrated.
I take her from the play area and leave. Once again, no ID’s were checked. I could’ve been some random person from the street. I have contacted WRS almost a dozen times to resolve this issue and get our money back. They are not concerned in the least. It wasn’t until, after 6x contacting them, I stated that I was going to contact Tx health and human services and write a review.
So, for the safety of your child, do not...
