5-Star Google Review – Frank Rendon Park, Daytona Beach

Frank Rendon Park is an absolute gem right on the sands of Daytona Beach! It’s the perfect spot to start or end your beach day. There’s plenty of parking, which is a huge plus—especially during busier times. The park is clean and well-maintained, with restrooms and showers that are actually nice and functional (not always the case at beachside parks).

The proximity to the beach couldn’t be better—it’s just steps away. Whether you’re meeting friends, taking the family, or just stopping by to rinse off after a swim, Frank Rendon Park offers everything you need in a convenient, relaxing setting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a solid beach access point with all...

Very nice park to get down to the beach. Free parking. We went Tuesday evening and it wasn't hard to find parking. There is also a small playground and lots of bathrooms which are fairly clean. The beach has firm sand which is nice for walking along the beach. The water is pretty warm with many tiny clams. My kids had lots of fun. The waves are big and strong though. You need to watch your kids and make sure they don't come out far. When we were there, there was a great lifeguard. She actually paid attention and watched out for people on the beach and blew whistle to remind people don't get out too far which could be dangerous. When my kids were done playing with sand and water, there was a space for a quick shower. I...

This is the best beachside park we have been to. We have been there 50 times driving up from our home in Orlando. Multiple bathrooms, gender specific. Bathroom are large for changing or helping your kids. Multiple showers just outside the bathrooms with foot washers. Great picture spot overlooking beach. Playground for the kids. 4 covered picnic structures. We use one every time and have never been unable to get one. You can reserve the structures but we never have. Several open air picnic tables as well. Basically flat landscape with lots of grass around picnic areas. Easy access and walking. Switchback wooden ramp to beach as well as a separate staircase. Short walk to the water. Great...

Although this is still a nice place for the family with clean facilities and ample parking, the majority of the oceanside section is still totally destroyed from past hurricanes. Daytona Beach Shores, along with Volusia County, don't seem in any hurry to make repairs. PLEASE NOTE- if you are not a Volusia County resident, PARKING IS $20 PER DAY. It is no longer free as of October 1, 2024.

Great parking, bathrooms, showers, playground, grills, picnic area, covered pavilions, and so much more here at this sweet little park. I really appreciate the efforts all around the Daytona area to provide FREE parking at great places for the visitors of this area. Plenty of handicapped parking and beach access with a nice ramp. Lots of photos included.
