Go anywhere else in town before going here. Honestly, go out of town or even go to Geek Squad first. If you HAVE to go to ARMOR Tech, get EVERYTHING down in writing before, during & after their services.
tl;dr $190 ( $145 after they credit a $45 diagnostic fee towards services) for them to attempt a no data windows re-installation... and fail.
Here's my experience, as short as I can make it over this ordeal: I took my PC into ARMOR when my issues began in March, and were mostly problems with connectivity and some random blue screens. I suspected my CPU was failing. The first employee took the tower at the front desk, and typed out the symptoms. A $45 diagnostic fee was paid. Another employee called a couple days later and told me it was a CPU that needed replacing. $300 was quoted for parts and labor, and I agreed. They told me it would take a week. A third employee called two days later saying come pick it up. I go in, and the first employee returned the tower. No part was ordered or replaced, as it was decided an OS reinstall was sufficient, and the remaining cost was $145. The notes are unclear, but nobody talked to the other techs I spoke to, or called me with a quote for an OS reinstallation. When I got the tower home, it ran for roughly 5 hours and then failed to boot to anything. When it was returned, they determined the NVMe drive had failed. They wanted more money to order the SSD and plug it in for me, unless I wanted to order it myself, and just pay them to plug it in. I decide to pick up my PC, now exhausted by expensive services which did not work, as well as poor communication. At no time was a refund offered or entertained. They wanted more money for more work. I then passed it along to my bank, who refunded me immediately, and set out to deal with the issue. ARMOR Tech fought every single step of the way. They claimed they performed a valuable service and insisted no refund was owed. I proceeded to submit all the evidence I had to my bank. THEN I get a voicemail from ARMOR stating they noticed they owe me a refund of $90, and could only grant it if I were to drop the dispute. I allowed my bank to deal with things, and after a few months I have finally been notified they ruled in my favor and I can keep my full $145 refund, only excluding the $45 diagnostic fee, which I had agreed to ignore.
Luckily, I was able to get great service at a different local tech repair shop that offers free diagnostic service.

Read moreDropped my PS5 off because it was overheating, the tech then told me it was a simple fix & would be back in a couple of days so I paid the extra rush fee so it could be seen faster. A few days later I called because I had not heard from anybody & they informed me that they ordered a wrong part & the new one would be in in a few days. I called back a few days later for an update & they informed me that the previous diagnosis was not right & it needed a completely new part & I was better off buying a new system. Once I got home I realized that they did not pack my controller or power cord so I call to ask for it & Nicholas assures me that he packed everything himself & it should be there I retort by saying only the system is in there & he proceeds to assure me everything is there 5 minutes later he calls me back & says the power cord is actually still at the shop like I had told him it was but there was no sign of the controller. Upset I return back to the store to grab the cord but no sign of the controller. Once I get back home I turn the console on & it’s way worse than before it’s overheating simply by just being turned on which it never did before. I call Nicholas back & explain to him that they broke it & he proceeds to tell me that that has nothing to do with him & that everything checked out before they gave it to me so basically I’m out of luck. I ask if I can get a discount if I let them fix it again & he said I will basically have to pay for a whole new console & I ask him if there is anyway I can buy the part & have them put it on since I already spent 80$ for them to just tell me there is nothing they can do with & he says no I will have to pay full. Please do not give your business to Armor tech they are incompetent workers & have been giving me a run around with no straight answer all week just to give my console back broken. Read moreIf I can rate this place as zero I would. Horrific experience. Paid 90$ for my apple iPad to change battery and it's not working at all or even turning on when I put it in the charger!!!!!!!!!! And guess what.......the iPad was not fully charged and they put it in the charge showing that now it chargers when picked up. Also, $70 spent for my iPhone, in which is messed up after a screen replacement.
I mean not harm to them in writing this, because obviously they are going to Continue doing what they are doing and a review won't bring them down however , I only need you who is reading this to not be as stupid as I am In trusting them. I swear to God it's the worse place that I have ever been to. I am so disappointed, and I regret trusting them with my products.
At least tell your customer that you don't know how to work with apple products. Don't take their products to mess the up and lie that you did your job to basically steal money!
By the way they broke my iPad into many parts and had to order parts because they Failed at placing the parts correctly. They make the customer pay even more saying we need this part, after Diagnosing the problem incorrectly!!!!!! don't know what the hell they are doing and they also lie and say the product is working when picked up! Oh and above all they say we had to order many parts giving you the responsibility of their failure! Claiming that its functional now... Functional my *! It's not even turning on. And last but never least they say apple doesn't like their products to be touched. If they don't like tier products touched by people who don't know how to touch them then why the heck didn't you tell me that you are not worth the task before giving you my products? Or is stealing money something okay in your company?
I am demanding a...
