Lake Gleason — Attraction in Deltona

Went here as we were treasure hunting, so we took time to check out the lake and play on some of the equipment. A few of the items on the playground had wasp/hornets making bests in or on them and spider webs, so we had to be careful not to disturb them. There is a great view of and around the lake, and there is a very nice pavilion here, but that's all there is worth visiting...

My first trip with family... we arrived late so we weren't able to really enjoy the park and fishing due to the park closing. BUT Geo the park employee let my wife fish and her son play in park till it was dark. SO we will be back at a better time and get to see what we missed out on the first time. Went here May 9th 2024 for fishing don't go unless you have kayak or boat. Over grown weeds are a host to unlimited water snakes which makes it impossible to fish any where other then the gravel driveway for boats. County and town need to come together and build a dock like overlook park on Lake Helen. Play ground has just swings also could use...
