North Lakes Park — Attraction in Denton

This park is really nice and spacious. This also have a kids playground. Which seemed like very popular among kids. I saw a lot of kids playing in there. This park also have trails for walking, and a lot of space for other sports. It seemed to me some development works are going on. I felt this park has a huge scope of being a popular refreshment point for people of Denton and adjacent cities. I felt like it would be nice if there is some more shades with chairs and tables. I like going here because I can walk on the nice nature trail. It's very nice and clean and it makes me feel great that we have such lovely nature trail where our community can share. it's very pretty , but there are a lot of gnats in air often times so watch out for them. There is a recycling center over here to you can drop off newspapers, bottles, glass, etc. You will see it at the end near 4 way stop when you walk or bike. Very nice park. It’s large and has a lot of walking trails and other features: a good playground, frisbee golf, a volleyball court, a creek, lakes, meadows that are full of wildflowers some times of year, and birds. I saw a Texas Bird of Paradise there once.

It backs on to a soccer/football field, a baseball diamond, a dog park, a rec. center, and an RC aircraft field.

South Lakes Park has the better playground and maybe better wildlife viewing, but North Lakes Park has something...
