I loved the tour of the Dewey Hotel Museum! Period correct pieces throughout including panoramic pictures (rodeo and cowboy roundups), typewriters, phonographs, loveseats, etc. At the beginning of the tour I was told that the 3rd. floor was haunted. I said I was highly skeptical, but open-minded. I proceeded to take pictures as I toured. When I got to the 3rd. floor, my Kodak automatic camera WOULD NOT focus on anything. Until, that is, I pointed it at a particular saddle. It was clear as day. I tried other items in that room to no avail. I found that if I "half clicked" on the saddle, then moved the camera to another object, it stayed focused and took a normal picture. Pictures will be posted with this review, including the unfocused ones (then the saddle) on the third floor. Is it haunted? I can't say for sure, but I plan to make the drive at a later date and keep an open mind. I suggest that you tour it yourself and see what you think.

My wife, her friend and I went on the, "History and Haunts" tour last night. Jordan and his wife were amazing hosts/guides. They were very informative about the history of the hotel, in a very fun way. We asked lots of questions and learned so much about the hotel and history of the area.

As you walk up the old brick sidewalk towards the gorgeous and historical hotel, you are wowed by the architecture of the place. The wrap around porch is gorgeous, enhanced further by the flickering mock flame lanterns hanging sporadically. As the double doors to the front open, you are greeted by a man in a Victorian Era suit, complete with a top hat and fancy cane.

This is Jordan. His friendly energy is inviting. His wife, Nikki, is in the room as well. When we went last night, she didn't yet have her wardrobe to match but she showed us the Victorian Era dress that she'll soon have and it is amazing! Together this husband and wife team can tell you just about everything regarding this hotel and its history. Their passion for this place is evident and exciting.

The clocks ticks loudly in the room as the tour begins. We're all given battery powered lanterns that flicker softly and truly heighten the experience. We begin on the first floor and as we tour the rooms, Jordan and his wife share their knowledge. He encourages questions, photos, looking at every detail. At no point do they ever rush you. Take your time and become immersed in the smells, sights, sounds, etc.

On this floor, I heard whispers in the dining room. My wife and her friend saw a rocking chair move on its own. Jordan and I felt an incredibly strong presence in the hallway that made the hairs on our arms stand straight up.

On the 2nd floor, more activity. I saw a small boy in the kids room. I tried to get a picture but unfortunately I pulled my camera up too late. We did get several interesting pictures of a fog like substance in different areas.

The 3rd floor was easily the most intense floor. The presence was heavy. Increasingly uninviting as the night went on. My wife used her device to listen and we were told to leave at least 3 times. Growling was caught as well as hissing. My wife heard the moans of a woman. Our friend felt a strong pinch on her arm. This floor is not the place to spend the night alone.

As we finished our tour of the three floors, we all gathered downstairs and talked. We shared our experiences and Jordan told us we could explore on our own, if we so dared. We are very into this stuff so of course we jumped on the chance.

Much of the experiences listed above took place after this point. Whatever was on the third floor was becoming agitated as we explored.

Overall, this was an AMAZING experience! The history was so interesting and the activity of the unseen sent it over the top. I would absolutely recommend this tour! Bring your cameras, your questions, your curiosity. You will NOT regret it!

Jordan and Nikki were phenomenal and they've gone to great lengths to make sure this experience is one you won't forget. We'll be...

We tried their "Ghost Tour" recently and cannot begin to express the amount of disappointment we left with. Zero stories as to why the place was haunted or actual facts to suggest it COULD be. We were just told "strange things happen". The tour was listed to last 2hrs, but was finished in about 45 minutes. Our guide was The President for the building- I cannot possibly begin to forget this because he told us so about every 3rd-5th sentence. He definitely found a way to inject it into everything he said! So, for $25 each- our ghost tour was actually just a poorly given history tour in the dark. We left confused and feeling very gipped!! Do I expect them to produce ghosts? Well of course not! Do I expect to hear stories of why spirits may still be within the dwelling, absolutely!! It never happened unfortunately. Their Facebook page heard from me and although I had a plethora of issues- the only consolation provided was a "hope you'll return for a daytime history tour" and a halfhearted apology. Once my review was seen by others, they too began to share their disappointment. Whomever is moderating their page is 100% incapable of accepting constructive criticism. Any concerns or suggestions fall on heavily deaf ears!!! The daytime history tour is $5 for those curious. Had my husband known, he'd have saved our money- but there are glowing reviews on their website to insinuate this is a worthwhile tour for those of us curious or fascinated by the idea of things going bump in the night! It's quite evident those reviews are false and placed by their friends to promote visitation to the Dewy Hotel Museum. Why would anyone do such a thing? Well, because the Dewy Hotel is a historical building with ZERO funding for restoration, repairs etc. and to keep the doors open, they need money. Even if that means ripping off unassuming customers for a bs "ghost tour" at $25 a person!! By no means do I intend to take credit away from the historical aspect. However, I do encourage you to AVOID THE GHOST TOUR!! It's a waste of time and money! Mr. President (Jake) has only a base knowledge of the history that resides there and delivers the little he knows with flat affect and a laa-dee-dah, let's move along so I can leave attitude. With a battery powered lantern providing no more light than a tea light candle, you'll wander aimlessly from room to room straining your eyes to see photos, plaques and fake artifacts. Eventually you'll find yourself confused and twiddling your thumbs inside the lobby as things end anticlimactically, abruptly and without any closing words from your guide other than...I can unlock the door for you if you're ready to leave. Indeed we were is a massive...
