I am very disappointed that this Museum was not open when I arrived. I made a special trip all the way from Nebraska to see it. Stayed night in Bartlesville and arrived on 2/19/2019. the sign in front the website and google indicated open Tuesdays thru the Friday Sat. I visited several of the Antiques Stores in town and finally purchased a book about Tom Mix. If your gonna be open and the sign says your are then be open. If your sick get somebody to take your place and be open. Kinda poor management for sure. I stayed in town until 2:PM and nobody showed. The folks at the Antique stores were not surprised. This museum is an absolute gem for anyone who loves the Old West. From the moment you walk in, you're surrounded by incredible Tom Mix memorabilia—there’s even a short film about his life and legacy that really brings his story to life.
Everywhere you look, there are saddles, guns, hats, boots, whips, photos, and more. One of the highlights is a full-size statue of Tom Mix with his famous horse, Tony, right near the entrance—such a cool tribute!
