Sometimes times are tough and on MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, FRIDAYS. The DCC has a food pantry from 10AM. Tho grateful and blessed to have this plentiful given.
What erks me is the Military attitude 😒 that is received from the security and some of the volunteers. It is not needed it is not something person struggling does not Need to start thier day with. Yelling and dismissive manners. As a Christian claiming to be here to serve the Christian faith. They sure need to prayer. All I was doing was making room in my trunk. And then a guy comes up with his rent a cop attitude, telling me some B.S. about they prefer the patrons to have done thier cleaning prior to coming in. That they prefer for people to stay in thier vehicles , now this is about an hour before hand in a safe parking lot. I can understand that thier is a active service and I believe school is in session. One can ask a person to do a task in a kindly manner, rather than in a abrasive tone. This really can light a fire under a person, that is just not ready to face the depots of someone's transgression on to them. I was having a good morning till this guy. Pulled on my chains. Could it be races, I think maybe. Because I did look like I lived on my car. Give it tho I was here to received. So now let us pray. Dear lord, 1st I like to say Thank you for giving me another day to be able to provide for my family and my pets. And 2P kind to people around me. Thank you for giving me the patience to tolerate. Others who have challenges in their life. That can also partake from your prayer and from your teachings. For us to learn to live among us each other and get along with each other. Thank you for allowing the church to receive and be able to provide for others like me. And I like to say, please pray for everyone in everything that h will accept faith and...
Read moreVery unlike early days of Calvary Chapel (which welcomed everyone as depicted by Greg Laurie’s Movie, “Jesus Revolution”). I had been serving God at Calvary Chapel, Lihue, Kauai and reached out to Pastor Brian and his wife Joy at Shepherd's Heart Calvary Chapel in Cebu City before my visit. I have been on two previous mission trips, both in Luzon, where I saw over 400 people saved, 135 people baptized and just under 200 people added to the church (in six weeks time). This was the first time in Visayas. When I arrived, they took me down to the youth rally where they were playing games and ministering to the kids there. I met Pastor Brian and everything was great. I was talking to him about how I could evangelize in Cebu, invite people to church and possibly support them with worship, outdoor preaching, finances and evangelism… Suddenly Scott Lasch, an administrator from Downey, came over, kicked me out and said I was not welcome there because I was not part of the team from Downey! We were in public, so I didn’t defend myself, but the way he characterized me without even knowing my background and the help I had done planting Victory Christian Fellowship Churches in the past was amazing short-sighted. I had just watched “Jesus Revolution” (went to see it 3 times in the theaters and bought tickets for all my unsaved friends and was still reveling in the work of The Holy Spirit in the early days of Calvary Chapel with Chuck Smith!!! Anyway, I eventually found a church, have been reaching out with my wife with the youth in Northern Cebu and forgive that cold-hearted man who judged me without even knowing me. My wife and I just re-watched “Jesus Revolution” again last night — I told her, “This is what Calvary Chapel USED...
Read moreI grew up with Calvary Chapel in California and I went looking for help at the Downey Calvary Chapel, and found that these are the meanest people I have ever met. As far as Christian wise goes. I waited in the parking lot with all my things in the truck got out tried to talk to some people Not one person bothered to Help me or ask if I need help I got out and asked for help and everybody just told Me the church hours strange because I spoke to somebody on the street and they said they were giving vouchers out for a hotel not true. Those people wouldn’t help anybody and they call themselves Christians. At least that’s what the organization is kind of opposite of what Jesus Christ preached. I spoke to several people and you know what happened. They chased me off. They tell me they were gonna call the police on me if I slept in my truck in the parking lot at the church. They’ve kind of drove the nail in the coffin as far as my face goes it’s exactly what I think of Christians in California. If you ask them for help, they will not help you but they go with the congregation. and they give food out to the people in the streets and they think that they are helping them and they call themselves Christians but if you ask them for help, they will turn you away and most Christians are like this hypocrites and in reality these are not good people my name is Miguel Escajeda and I phoned a Calvary Chapel and left messages and waited at the front door of the church to speak to somebody and try to speak to people and ask for help and all they did was tell me the hours of the church and threatened to call the...
