I went to see "Don't Talk to the Actors" on Feb. 15, 2014. The venue is a former church. The house was about two-thirds full which was about sixty people. Acoustics were good. The actors did not use any kind of amplification but didn't have trouble being heard. Seats were comfortable. Lighting was good. The actors were better than the material which was a play about putting on a play. No beverages other than water were available for purchase during the interval. Parking was on street and free at that hour. Don't park at Sheetz or you will be towed, they announced. Earlier snow shoveling would have made for easier access. I enjoyed...
Read moreSomeone turned off all the air conditioners during the last performance of Gypsy because an audience member complained about being too cold. I wonder if maybe the temperature control on one of two of the four air conditioners, instead, should have been adjusted. The theatre became too hot for a greater proportion of the audience, as a result. I wonder if turning off the air-conditioning had a negative effect on the viral load in the auditorium.
