Duluth Haircutters Barber Shop — Attraction in Duluth

Took my two year old here who truly hates hair cuts and going into new buildings. It took us 15 mins of sitting on the bench outside just to convince him to go inside without causing a scene. Bucky was so incredibly patient, offered toys, tried to get my son to get familiar with him before getting in the chair. He was great with introducing the clippers and tools to my son which helped so much! Did the process take an hour and a half? Yes. My son literally would not leave the sitting area lol. Were a few tears shed? Yes! But just a few which is HUGE! Was it the best haircut my son has received? Yes, especially considering the amount of stopping and starting Bucky had to do. Will we be back? Yes! Bucky made the experience so pleasant and took the trauma out of the process for both me and my son....

This is 'my' barber shop and I've been coming here for well over a decade now. Real barbers here and not just a clip joint. Owner, Donnie, has three other barbers here, but you might still have to sit a while and read a magazine before you sit in front of your preferred Barber and you can sign-in for your preferred Barber and they will phone you, if you want to go next door to Duluth Salvage to browse around. (I always find something to buy there, whenever I do.) This is a very friendly and good-humored place and has a very loyal clientele. Highly favored by us more senior folks, but also family friendly, so go ahead and bring your kids in for a real barber haircut. Closed...

This place is GREAT!! The staff all get along with each other. This means the conversation, if you are not the talking type yourself, will be interesting. Walk-ins only, which I prefer. If there are a few folks in queue before you, just have a seat, work on a puzzle or read any of the wide variety of magazines there. (or stare at your phone, like everyone else.) Listening to the banter of the barbers and customers is a highlight for me. The quality of haircut is outstanding. I've had my hair cut by just about everyone there, and they all listen to you, and cut the hair accordingly. This place is about as close to Floyd's Barber shop from Mayberry as you are going to get...
