This review is to express profound disappointment with the experience during the Fire Rain (Bob Seger) tribute band on 8/31/2025. My evening was ruined when I arrived alone at my aisle seat with a man holding a baby approx. 3 months old with earphones sitting next to me. Although I understand this was an all-age performance, the squirming baby significantly detracted from the ability to enjoy the performance. I moved to the empty row behind me, but I was sitting in somebody else seat - I moved a 2nd time further down the row. The same family sitting aside of brought young children filling out the row and they were bobbing up and down unsupervised in front of me throughout most of the 1st half. I went for help and staff intervention was not apparent. I moved a 3rd time to an empty row in the back of the theater for 2nd half of the show only to be joined by a couple sitting one seat away with loud and constant talking during quiet portions of the show. I later learned that family aside of me were the family of a band member. Since the owner approved and knew about the baby and young children attending an adult band performance, he took no responsibility to check with surrounding patrons to ensure they were enjoying the evening. As I was leaving, I told the friendly bartender about my awful night, she took down my contact info and told me the owner does not tolerate bad audience behavior. She said he will most likely contact you about your story. Well it has been over 72 hours and no contact, so please don't waste your money with the chance of having a bad experience like I did. I...
Read moreWhat a wonderful venue! Red Clay is a 260-seat listening room for live music. The seating area reminds you of a movie theater, with slanted floor, cozy seats with cup holders, etc., but the stage is full-size and outfitted with grand piano and a first-class sound system. Eddie's brought the intimacy and freshness, for which Eddie's Attic made him famous, to a much nicer, more comfortable location just off the square in Duluth. I had the pleasure of singing a couple of songs on an Open Mike night, and was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of the stage and sound crew, and had a ball being in the audience and listening to some wonderfully talented songwriters (never too loud). One friend who came with' said, afterward, "This is the best entertainment you can buy for $5!" (That's the pre-paid admission price for Open Mike nights). I couldn't agree, more - and don't be surprised to see me back...
Read moreAmazing venue and acoustics that made the sweet sound of music flow with clarity throughout the crowd. Free parking was available in the surface lot and garage. However, there’s limited spots. So, arrive early and be patient because you might have to cruise the lot several times. There’s also free parking a few blocks down (wear comfortable shoes in case you have to take a stroll). I was warmly greeted upon entering the venue which made me feel welcomed. The show promptly started on time, which I appreciated. Anu & Ash performed to s sold out crowd! The bar offers fairly priced snacks, as well as non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. Pack your patience if you need to use the restroom because there’s only two single unisex restrooms. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would return to enjoy another...
