Arrived for our 530 reservation on a Friday night to get an early dinner before a show we were going to at Gas South Arena and were greeted warmly. The restaurant was smaller than expected and not full at all since we were on the earlier side of dinner rush, but when you don’t see a lot of people you start to wonder why. I didn’t need to worry though because the food was absolutely fantastic. My husband was parking the car so my daughter and I were seated and while we waited the server brought me out a glass of water immediately which was very nice, but she didn’t bring anything for my daughter- not a huge deal but just felt odd. Still she was very friendly and helped me choose an amazing entree. It wasn’t very busy as mentioned, so I think she was the only server. I think there was also only one person in the kitchen so it did feel like service was a bit slow, but thankfully we had allotted ourselves 2 hours before our show and had the time. When we placed our order we ordered everything at once, which we generally do, so I was a little surprised when our app was served alongside our dinner as usually we don’t have to clarify we’d like the app first. Again not a huge deal and we enjoyed everything together. We ordered the Goat Cheese Croquettes, the Shrimp Penne Diavolo, and the Pork Chop. My daughter got a kids cheeseburger with fries. Goat cheese was delicious, we got 2 pieces of bread with it and I would’ve liked a couple more, but I was enjoying my Shrimp Penne Diavolo so much that also came with bread that I didn’t worry about it. The sauce on the pasta was soooo tasty. Creamy, rich, flavorful and just enough kick. I brought home leftovers and just ate them for breakfast this morning bc I couldn’t stop thinking about it! My husbands pork chop had this fabulous peach chipotle sauce that really compliments the pork so well. I was impressed. His sides of brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes were also so yummy. I will say his pork chop looked a tad overdone and dry, but he still enjoyed it very much as did I for the couple bites I took. My daughters cheeseburger also looked good and not overdone. I didn’t try it because there were too many other good things to eat. They had a nice menu of standard and craft cocktails. I got the Ginger Lady. It was pretty good, but I’d like to try some of their other cocktails another time. Overall I’m very happy with the food for the prices we paid. I definitely recommend this place and will be back. I’d love to try some other menu items but I’m not sure I’ll be able to resist ordering the Shrimp...
Read moreWhile visiting Duluth, Georgia, on business—hailing from the vibrant culinary scene of Phoenix—I made it a point to explore the local fare. Among several restaurants sampled during our stay, one establishment stood out with remarkable clarity.
I had the pleasure of dining here with my spouse for a date night, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. We began with a Caesar salad, which arrived crisp, chilled, and expertly balanced with just the right touch of anchovy-forward dressing—an often-overlooked detail that speaks volumes to the kitchen’s attentiveness.
For our main course, we shared a steak cooked to an impeccable medium-rare. The exterior was beautifully seared, while the interior maintained a warm, ruby center—precisely as it should be. Topped with a vibrant chimichurri that offered herbaceous depth without overpowering the meat, the steak delivered a flavor profile that was earthy, restrained, and profoundly satisfying.
Accompanying the dish were Bravo potatoes—Cajun-seasoned with a subtle, lingering bite—and crisp-tender green beans that added a welcome freshness and textural contrast. It’s rare to find such harmony in a plate: each element purposeful, no garnish superfluous.
The pièce de résistance, however, was dessert. Their bread pudding was masterful—moist, delicately sweet, and served warm beneath a scoop of silken vanilla ice cream. It struck a rare balance between indulgent and refined, and I found myself savoring every bite with deliberate joy.
The ambiance of the restaurant further elevated the experience: modern, spotless, and tastefully designed, with a welcoming energy. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the menu—a detail I always take note of.
This meal, quite frankly, was flawless. A 10/10. So inspired were we by the experience, we’re attempting to recreate it at home—a testament to the impression it left. Whether you’re a local or a traveler with a palate for excellence, this restaurant is an...
Read moreI used to recommend this restaurant for my colleagues who were in from out of town as the best restaurant in the downtown Duluth area. When I would follow up to see if they enjoyed it, the responses were lukewarm, which surprised me.
A few days ago I had some visitors from Ukraine and I wanted to really treat them to a nice lunch. So we went here. Its interesting that it is easy to walk into this restaurant these days, it used to be busy, but not anymore. That should have been the first warning.
We ordered some lamb lollipops as an appetizer and they came out completely raw, I mean dangerously inedible. We didn't complain because we were engaged in conversation, but we politely set them aside. I was embarassed.
The "special" that day was a Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. Half of us ordered that. A scant 35 minutes later they show up at the table. I asked for no mayo on mine. When I picked up the sandwich, a slice of american cheese literally fell out. It wasn't even melted or hot for that matter. I open up the sandwich to put it back in and am horrified at what I see. The base was 2 slices of unmelted american cheese, there were maybe 5 strips of onions/peppers, and 5 marble sized pieces of meat and residue of mayo that someone had tried to scrape off.
The waitress checks in 20 minutes later to see how things are and I show here the sandwich and ask her how she would feel if she ordered a philly cheesesteak and that showed up. She was completely embarrassed and went to a manager. The manager approached the table and asked what the issue was and I showed him this shamble of a sandwich. He acted like nothing was wrong, he actually defended it. I said ok, I'm gonna take a picture and post a review and he took the plate away before I was able to do that.
Something really wrong here and I am beginning to understand why my referrals were met with lukewarm reviews.
Hope the owner reads this and takes some action because the trajectory here...
