It would have been nice to see if this place lived up to its 4.5 Stars rating. We went October 8th, 2023 around brunch time. Our first impression of this place was terrible. Not because it was nasty or the food was bad but because of their poor management. Our son took to us to see if we would like it or not. You know, to have a new experience. The weather was great and the restaurant was busy. It took a long time before we ever made it to the register to place and order. Before we even made it to the front of the line to place an order, we heard the manager state they were out of biscuits and would have some more in about 30 minutes. We did not think anything of it, because we figured by the time we placed our order and found a seat, the biscuits would be close to being ready. We finally made it to the front and placed our order. We found a place to sit and after waiting some more they called our name but the only thing they had ready was our drinks. We got those and sat back down. We waited and waited some more. Finally, the male manager called several names out and I walked back to the counter thinking I was going to get our food but noooo....The manager says they are out of ingredients to make biscuits. His idea is either to substitute items of give us a refund. My family and I mainly came for the biscuits, so I along with 5 or 6 others stood back in line for a refund. In a nutshell, this place looked like a decent place to eat but a good manager would have made 100% sure that the ingredients did not run out for their "MAIN" menu item. I mean the place is called Maple Street BISCUIT Company. I was livid after all of the waiting we did and to get nothing out of it, other than a refund. This place never should have run out of buttermilk. They should have sent someone to a local grocery store to pick up several jugs long before they did. We had already been waiting over an hour and would have had to wait another 30 minutes or so to get biscuits. We will never get that time in our lives back but management felt like a refund was the best they could do. In my opinion, it was not the best they could have done. We will more than likely NEVER try to eat their again. If you do want to risk going here, don't go on a...

Southern Comfort at Its Finest — A Must-Visit for Breakfast Lovers
As someone who’s deeply familiar with Southern cuisine—and particularly picky about biscuits—I can confidently say that Maple Street Biscuit Company in Duluth, Georgia absolutely blew me away.
My husband and I were visiting from Phoenix for a business trip. Neither of us had ever been to Georgia, and we hadn’t even heard of Duluth before. But let me tell you, this charming town tucked away in a lush, emerald-green forest feels like something out of a storybook. We wanted to find a local breakfast spot with authentic Southern flavors, and Maple Street came highly recommended. Now I see why.
We stopped in for breakfast on a busy morning and had to take our order to-go back to our hotel (the nearby Courtyard Marriott). Interestingly, the restaurant accidentally gave me the wrong order—but it turned out to be the best mistake. The biscuit sandwich I received featured a crispy, lightly breaded chicken breast, thick-cut bacon, and a perfectly fried egg. I added some greens for a bit of balance, and the whole thing came together in one unforgettable bite. The biscuit itself was buttery, fluffy, and perfectly baked—true Southern biscuit perfection.
On the side, I received a cup of sausage gravy that was rich, savory, and just the right consistency—exactly what you’d hope for from a place that understands Southern breakfast. We also tried the cheddar cheese grits, which were creamy, comforting, and packed with flavor. And the fresh-squeezed orange juice? Absolutely phenomenal—bright, tangy, and clearly made with real, ripe oranges.
The customer service was just as memorable as the food. The woman who took our order was kind, warm, and helpful—qualities that matched the cozy, welcoming vibe of the restaurant itself. The space had a clean, rustic charm that felt both modern and rooted in Southern tradition.
Bottom line: If you’re anywhere near Duluth and even thinking about breakfast, this is your spot. Maple Street Biscuit Company delivers bold Southern flavors with top-tier hospitality. Even as experienced foodies and biscuit lovers, we left impressed, satisfied, and already planning a...
Read moreTruly disappointed with my experience. Where do I even start?
Atmosphere: First off, upon entry a staff member movers 3 huge trash bins just full of garbage and placed it in front of the entry. I don’t think he even changed his gloves before going back to the kitchen. Like why would you have heaping trash of the entry (which no one removed the entire time we were there) That should of been the first sign to leave (but we drove far to come and it was our first time) The floor was dirty and it looked like they were closing up the place but there were patrons and restaurant didn’t close for another hour.
Service: Next no one greeted us and we were unsure just kind of stood around being ignored until we just went up to the counter. When it was our turn to order I asked about the menu and the teenage worker didn’t know the menu and they ended up being out of several promotional items we ordered. (all the workers looked very young which is fine but they acted unprofessional) They placed our food on the counter for pickup and placed a huge tub of wet dishes next to our food so that it was touching. At this point I spoke up and said the the wet dishes and the tub was touching our food and the cashier was like oh it’s clean. 🤢 I was so bewildered and frustrated at this point we took our food outside to eat because it was too dirty and cringe inside but we were attacked by bees (maybe because of all the trash?) and had to come back inside.
Food: We ordered the hash bowl, chicken maple biscuit, apple cinnamon waffles (with no cheesecake because they were out) and a shareable smash browns. The fried food was overcooked and burnt and The silverware was dirty. At this point we were so fed up we couldn’t even eat it. We asked for to go plates but ended tossing everything.
Overall so dissatisfied with the food, service and atmosphere. We wasted our time and money. But I blame myself because I read these same words in the reviews before I came but I...
