We popped into the Museum of General William C. Lee and were really impressed! It’s very well kept and has a welcoming feel. The tour is self-guided, which made it easy to go at our own pace — perfect with kids. What really stood out was seeing his original furniture, uniforms, and personal items. It’s pretty amazing to realize you’re looking at the same furniture he was sitting on while listening to the D-Day broadcast. If you have any interest in military history, especially WWII special ops, this is a must see. The place does need signage, it is difficult to find if you are from out of town. The hours on the sign in front are a year...
