This place is absolutely fantastic! I bought a Yamaha sv-200 from here about 12 years ago, and had an issue after a person accidentally sent my violin flying. There was a crackling sound whenever I would play low, powerful notes. Jamie is extremely knowledgeable about the boards and components within the instruments and was able to fix the violin all during a single visit. To pass the time, Chris and Matt had conversations with me about performance and issues they have faced as instrumentalists. Then, they helped set me up with all the different violins to test out, just to enrich my experience there, while emphasizing to me that I "did not have to purchase anything". I absolutely enjoyed my time, and they made sure that the invitation was always open for me to come back and "play with the toys". :) This is definitely the place to go if you're looking to get set up on an electric violin or if you need repairs. You can trust their expertise and thoroughness when handling...
Read moreWhat an amazing experience! My daughter is in her University's Electric Strings Orchestra and the NS Wav instrument on loan does not work for her ergonomically. After reviewing Matt Bell's videos on Violin Center of Mass and Weight at head, it seemed there were better options. I spoke with Susie a the shop who recommended the YEV. After putting my order in, I mistakenly ordered a Viola case for the violin--rather than shipping out the wrong case, Susie gave me a call and suggested an alternate case. When I told her to go ahead and go with the alternate which was $20 more, she told me that they will update the order and will do it for the same price as the case I ordered. What amazing customer service! When my daughter received the order it was well packed and had a personalized note from the shop. Keep up...
Read moreI really liked the passion for violins expressed by the folks of electricviolinshop.com on YouTube, which made me decide to buy my Glasser AEX violin from them a few months ago. Despite the overseas import taxes their price was even better than local stores too. The Glasser is a really nice instrument, however, mine had a little hum in the electronics. I asked about this by email and immediately got an entirely new pickup system, sent by DHL, free of any charge, no questions asked. Meaning: I did not even ask for it! Now that is what I call Customer Service. Rest assured my next violin will be bought at your shop again folks, and I hope to come visit you in person next time I’m in the USA.
