This is our second time here, we were here once in the summer. We (my wife, 3 collies and I) have been to just about every park/trail in the area. This trail is not an easy hike. It was more difficult than we remembered. We went on a January 2023 day after it had rained all the previous day. This made the wet leaves on the trail a bit slippery. There are many roots, rocks and hills on the path. It took us 30 minutes to get to the lake/quarry and then we could not cross the rushing stream to get to walk around the lake. There were stepping stones and stairs, but the water was high. The stones looked slippery and we felt that it was too dangerous to cross with dogs. I wish they build a bridge there. If you get hurt here it would be hours before help could arrive. There is a much appreciated trail map as you enter the park and some signs. We took the red trail, made a left at the quarry sign then followed the blue/white trail. All in all, we did have a good work out -1 hour...

Perfect swimming hole for summer days. It's about a 20 minute walk from the parking lot and a .8 mile trail. The quarry is about 60 feet deep and drops off quick. No place to stand in the water, must bring a pool noodle or tube. There is limited space to set up camp. Get there early if you want a good spot. The parking lot can probably hold about 20ish cars. Beware of theft when you're swimming, you can't see your belongings when you're in the water and there's signs posted warning you of thieves. The cliff where you used to be able to jump off has been blocked purposely by trees for safety purposes. Saw a few fish in the quarry and a turtle. Water was clear and...

I actually LOVE the Quarry! Im only giving 4 stars bc it really isn't for kids younger than 10yrs old due to its very small pathways surrounding the quarry.I feel like if my 4yr old were to make just the slightest wrong move,he'd fall and get hurt or worse due to how high up you are from the actual site. Other than that,it's ridiculously fun, beautiful and great to get out of the house and have fun with friends/family! I live a few miles away and people walk past our house jst to get there! (I found the Quarry when i 1st moved here, upset and walking..lol..so it's quite relaxing if you just want to...

Im in love of this place!! Is a good spot for swimming and chilling ✨ in the trail there are deers! Read the signs! Almost we lost and walked for other side where the water is not good to swim. The parking is small so is good to come early 8 am to 10 am or after 3pm because there isn’t parking near . The trail from parking to lake is around 1 km so be patient.
