Honestly, the facilities are great but the experience of trying to close an account is enough to bring it down to 1 star. As of writing this review I've been in the process of trying to cancel my account for over a month. Here's the story as to why you shouldn't join:
It's time to move, so you want to cancel your account, seems reasonable, right?...The front desk people tell you to email their email address asking to cancel, so you send an email. The email address never replies, so you call. They tell you to email, or talk to Patrick, you ask for Patrick, he isn't available, so you send another email and ask them to leave a message for him. Days pass, and nothing. Call again, they tell you to email or talk to Patrick. Sound familiar? That's been my experience after calling 5 times, and walking in twice, apparently there are 5 or so sticky notes with my information that just can't be found, and nobody is monitoring that email address. So finally, after a month of this nonsense I went to my bank to put a hold on the account so they stop charging me. Maybe Patrick will finally call, who knows. Just be sure to document everything like I did because I guarantee they are going to try and pull the "30 day notice" as soon as they finally call.
Do yourself a favor, either insist on paying in cash, or don't give them your payment info. They say you need to give them 30 days notice to cancel your account, what they don't say is that apparently you're a member for life,...
Read moreIf you don’t want to be dragged through a lengthy process of having your account closed, DONT SIGN contract with this establishment. During winter, we had our account overcharged/and had to pay “fees” for not having funds- even though funds were in the account. I have contacted gym and sent an email, requesting cancellation upon completion of my contract. However, pandemic happened in March and gym decided to freeze all the accounts. I have checked numerous times, and it looked like my account was cancelled (specific language). There was no additional communication, as to what the plan was going to be once gym is re-opened. Fast forward, my account gets charged out of the blue. Now, owner states that I owe him money for the time gym was closed. I understand, but also we were in a middle of a pandemic. However, he wants me to pay him for the months that the establishment was closed. Plus, charging me for an extra month. I requested documentation to be adjusted- crickets. Also, when we went in person- front desk Assistant Manager was short of nasty and snappy. He started to raise his voice, and did not even bother to look up my account until I insisted. I wish I have never provided my financial information to this establishment. This kind of...
Read moreAs another reviewer mentioned, Patric is extremely unprofessional. He sent a friend of mine to collections (my friend also called to cancel his account) without any warning.
I sent Patric a lengthy email hoping he would be sympathetic and call to remove my friend from collections - I did all this because my friend doesn’t speak much English - and Patric responded simply, “that account has been sent to collections.” He totally ignored my questions and didn’t acknowledge anything I said.
Very unprofessional manager, I will be reporting him to every agency I can think of. Do not go here unless you want to be sent to collections for money you didn’t know you owed.
Edit as of 12/20/2018 - you will see below that Millenium sports club ignored what I addressed. 1. In their response they say they have policies - I get that. It’s not the policy I’m disputing, im frustrated that they send people to collections without any notice. That’s shady. 2. They tell me I can come in for a meeting - I’ve e-mailed Patric twice about a meeting and he hasn’t responded. When I went in person they said I couldn’t see him and had to email him.
Do not go to this gym. Im currently reporting...
