I bought a Gen 4 fossil smart watch online 10 months ago because it was on sale (I assume because the Gen 5 was about to drop). Watch is rated to be water resistant and says you can even swim with it. I never swam with it, showered with it etc. The only thing I did with this watch was work out with it to use the wear os fitness tracking. I'm now on my 5th Gen 4 because the metal charging rings on the back of the watch have come unglued and fallen out with each watch. I brought the watch to this Eagan location each time which was a mistake. The salesman assured me each time this isn't a common issue so I never tried returning the watch and just kept getting it replaced. Well I walked in today to get a replacement and they no longer carry this generation. The man argued again (same guy/salesman) with me that this isn't a common issue and anyone can Google anything and find problems. I promptly left the store and called fossil support. They stated this is a very common issue so they no longer replace them but actually repair the issue. I'm sending my etch in to fossil hq to be repaired the correct way and will never visit this...

I bought 6 watches as gifts for my family members from Fossil in Eagan Outlet and they said that they checked all the watches to make sure they are all brand new. Since they said its brand new we didn’t bother to check all the straps (bottom part of the strap in box) After 2 weeks, my parents went back home outside of US and one of the watches’ strap was used and the band looks SO BAD. They said that the watch is tried but definitely it was used. If you are giving a gift, it should be brand new. Even though i explained it well, they didn’t want to understand my point and kept repeating the same thing. I was frustrated and just left. I couldn’t give it as a gift. I went them to ask about solution and they acted so weird and didn’t want to help with a serious face. They didn’t even said “SORRY” just said we can’t offer you anything, you were supposed to check. Read moreI walked in on a busy Sunday afternoon to ask about my Fossil Q Explorist HR Gen 4 that no longer charges due to the charging ring falling off the bottom of the smartwatch. I guess this is a somewhat common issue with the Gen 4. I found numerous theads stating that as long as it is within the 2 year warranty and you have the receipt they will swap it out for you on the spot. I'm happy to confirm that is exactly what happened. No unnecessary questions, no delay whatsoever. The rep simply walked over to the display case, opened the bottom cabinet, asked to look at the receipt to verify the exact model and color, asked for my old one and placed a brand-new one in my hand and told me to have a great afternoon.
