Bear Mill Estate — Attraction in East Cocalico Township

Bear Mill Estates, located in Denver, PA, is truly one of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever seen. Tucked away just off the road, you can feel its magic the moment you pull into the parking lot. The main house and getting-ready space exude a quiet, studious charm that’s hard to describe—but they’ve captured it perfectly.

As an avid reader, I instantly fell in love with the cozy little library just outside the getting-ready area. The men's suite holds a rustic yet chic atmosphere, and it’s where I spent the day watching my baby brother prepare to marry the love of his life. It was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything he needed to get ready for what was, undoubtedly, the biggest day of his life so far.

As we explored the grounds: from the serene wooded ceremony space to the beautifully restored barn where cocktail hour and the reception took place; I found myself falling even more in love with this storybook-like venue. The amenities, the charm, the peaceful setting, and the warmth of the staff completely draw you in from the moment you arrive. And I love that for us.

Now, let’s talk about John; the venue manager and an absolute rockstar!!! I don’t say this lightly: there’s a reason he’s one of the faces of Bear Mill Estates. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left; through it all (even the very detailed ‘walk down the aisle’ musical timeline)- John was present, helpful, attentive, and genuinely funny. We’re a band of misfits and a bit of chaos, but he embraced it all with ease. He blended into our family while somehow standing out in the best way. He’s a rare soul, the kind that no amount of hospitality training could replicate, and I’m so grateful he was there to help us celebrate and send off Stiles and Jordyn into their Happily Ever After.

I can’t recommend this venue enough. There are very few places that offer this level of charm paired with a team who genuinely care about your day. Whether it’s a wedding, bridal shower, baby shower, or any special occasion—if you’re looking for rustic, chic, and heartfelt hospitality, this is the place.

We got married at Bear Mill Estate in April and had an amazing experience! From the minute we first toured Bear Mill Estate, we knew it was where we wanted to have our special day. The venue has a really nice mix of rustic and classy vibes, which was exactly what we were looking for. The girls really enjoyed getting ready in the Bridal Solarium and the guys enjoyed having a few beers in the upstairs Groom Space. We really enjoyed all the beautiful locations to have pictures taken on the property. Our guest count was around 80 people and there was plenty of space and it certainly did not feel over crowded. We couldn't have asked for any better weather, so we were able to take advantage of the beautifully lit outside dancefloor and the scenic ceremony space next to the Inn. We rented the Inn the night before and the night of the wedding and i cannot recommend it enough! It was very spacious and felt very homey. Staying on property certainly made the weekend go much smoother and less stressful. I can not say enough good things about the staff at Bear Mill Estate, John and Angeliese helped to make the day perfect. The amount of work they did and assistance they provided us and our vendors, really came through in the finished product. We really appreciated the fact that they gave us plenty of room to breathe throughout the day, but were still close by if we needed anything from them. An incredible day and a stunning venue! Five stars isn't enough to do this place justice. My husband and I could not stop talking about this place and how perfect it was going to be for our October 2024 wedding! The charm of the estate gets to you instantly, and it's only made better by the incredible people who work so hard to make everything special for the big day. Kat and Mark were wonderful at answering any questions we had throughout our planning process, and were all-around incredibly helpful and so nice! As for the coordinator Troy and his team, I cannot thank them enough for being so extraordinary, and it was honestly just a great pleasure to have them around and to talk with them throughout our wedding day! They helped to make our day a total breeze which made it all the more special.
