I was really disappointed and disturbed to find these disgusting and racist caricatures in this shop, for sale by a dealer named “Moe”.

One of the photos depicts a mechanical bank in the shape of a smiling black man called “Jolly N”. In the video of the other trinket, a black person is riding a carriage, both hands occupied by the watermelon they’re eating while the carriage seems to be heading toward a black child playing in the brush. That one’s titled “Bad accident”. I can only imagine the function of holding onto (and intending to profit from) racist memorabilia is to remind oneself of a time when there was an entire group of people to oppress, laugh at, and violate in order to make oneself feel bigger. The only rightful place for things like this are in a museum where they can support anti racist education through taking an honest look at the disturbing artifacts produced by our American history. Dr. David Pilgrim of the Jim Crow Museum of Big Rapids Michigan does exactly that: https://jimcrowmuseum.ferris.edu/expansion/expansion-details.htm

But here, in this shop in Lancaster county on display for private sale at obscene price points ($450 & $5500) they’re just...

I must say, I love this place. Sure, that area is full of antique shops that have everything this place has...except one thing; outstanding service. And service is what sets this place apart. I bought an old saw and an old hammer and the folks at the counter wrapped them as though they were fine China. They focused on wrapping the blade of the saw in the interest of safety; which I wouldn't have even thought of - nobody would - except these folks. And I think that's special. I love people that...

Was not impressed. Very cluttered looking place and most definitely overpriced. I picked up a cookie jar to inspect and see the price. They were asking $28 for it, and on the bottom of it, it had a sticker for $2.99 from Goodwill. I can understand wanting to make a profit, but that markup is a bit greedy. Saw several things I was interested in, but I thought all were overpriced. Won't be...

Thus antique shop is the place to go for Unique lighting. They have a fantastic selection of magical collectibles. Some items go back as far as the mid to early 1800s. Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful! It's not a huge antique mall but it has something for everyone.

We very much enjoyed shopping here, we came in for the juicy apples and got a bucket of that black type apples that were super delicious and ended up filling three bags of local products, all super tasty and fresh. Highly recommended!
