Berkley Nail Lounge — Attraction in East Greenwich Township

My daughter had an appointment with a time given to her by the worker of 5pm, knowing that they closed at 6pm. They completely rushed and told her they could not do the design she wanted, which is fine however they then proceeded to try and charge her $105 for an acrylic refill with short almond nails with French tips and glitter plus a design that she didn’t ask for. Only after pleading her case, they lowered it to $95.. extremely odd. Looking at their prices online, this was a COMPLETE upcharge in an attempt to scam and take advantage of a young girl getting her nails done by herself at a new place. When she tried to ask why they were upcharging, they gave multiple random and different explanations that did not match up to the pricing at all. Let alone, the fact that she did not receive the design that she wanted. They also did not give an itemized receipt showing what they charged her for. Despite asking nicely about the pricing, the workers still made a scene and raised their voice at my child. She is only 16 years old and I should not have to worry about people taking advantage of her just because she is young and alone. Safe to say I will not recommend going to this salon. I left a very good review of this place previously and I love it here a lot. However after I recommended my friend there they scammed her and overpriced her almost double what they charge me for the same thing. We went in and asked for her money back due to the upcharge and then they told me they will not do my nails anymore. Horrible way to do business as ive been going here for 4 years and my entire family and neighbors due to my recommendation. Embarrassing business who won't allow people who call them out for their blatant racism and scamming and discrimination of young women. Lost a lot of loyal returning customers thanks to this. This is the best nail salon I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to a ton! It is extremely clean, it’s beautiful inside, & there are no TVs to distract you from relaxing!! And the quality is incredible! I’ve never had dip nails last so long!! As if that isn’t enough, the staff there is so kind. They take time to get to know you, and they value a good customer experience over everything else. I recently got my nails done by a new person, and the quality just wasn’t there. When I came back in, they completely re-did my nails, free of charge. And let me know that that person was no longer with them. They don’t keep low quality employees around. They care about you. And if there’s ever an issue, talk to Sally or Mihn.
