Riverside Park — Attraction in East Hartford

We parked under the Founders bridge/street park (free) and walked up the stairs to the bridge. It was a relaxing stroll with beautiful view of the river from the bridge and its surrounding from the bridge. There’s an elevator to go down to the paved trail throughout the park. There are limited grills and picnic tables, there’s playground, sandbox, volleyball space boat launch, benches all over the park to rest or just sit back, relax and enjoy the panoramic view. Parking area is great, park rangers were in the area often n were very helpful with any questions i had! Only prob i had was when looking at the ramp/river the right side ramp was all silted in n choked with weeds! But otherside was great with ample docks n plenty of room to tie up with great bumpers on dock aswell! Ramp doesnt get much usage atall , as there was 4-5ft of debris on the ramp logs n sticks! Docks still in great shape,,,,, just have to beware of all the rowers and remember its NO WAKE North n South to each bridge! Safe...

So today I walked around Riverside Park and it was actually fun to walk around and look at the different things that they had their. My dog enjoy walking alongside the river which is very beautiful. I definitely will be coming back because there is a lot more that I want to explore and look around I also got to see what under the highway looks like. I actually have the park ranger come to me at about 7:40 and told me that the gates are closed at 8 p.m. so I had to hurry back jump in my car and take off before I...
