Very cool bridge built in the early 1900's with a ton of history that connects Hartford and East Hartford. The best way to view this bridge is from the Riverwalk along the Western bank of Connecticut River. There is are several signs marking where the height of past floods from Connecticut River. Apparently, the walkway under the bridge floods during spring, so be prepared to have your stroll along the Riverwalk cut short...

Description
The Bulkeley Bridge is the oldest of three highway bridges over the Connecticut River in Hartford, Connecticut. A stone arch bridge composed of nine spans, the bridge carries Interstate 84, U.S. Route 6, and U.S. Route 44 across the river, connecting Hartford to East Hartford.
